It was a stupid move to send out Odjick, just stupid.

But that McLaren hit was brutal but Bettman and the Players Association continues to do nothing. Even last night the crosscheck by Corson at the end of the game could have been serious.

All I know is one day someone's going to get seriously injured, rough hard hitting hockey is great to watch, but when it goes beyond that something has to give.

I fully agree as he clearly was intending to hurt the guy, & wtf for, his team is up 3, game is wrapped up. Why give a team more motivation then they need!

CI, couldn't agree more. WTF was he thinking anyway. The league proably won't suspend him for the playoffs because someone did something like this a couple of yrs back and they suspended that player for 20 gms starting next year.

No balls betman better slap him hard for that cheap shot and let the suspension start now not next yr, and this is coming from a B's fan.

I agree guys.

Look at the NFL and NBA. Any type of contact outside the limits is met with huge fines, any abuse of officials is dealt with the same way.

Corson leaves his feet in the regular season and hits a guy against the boards, what's the NHL do, $1000 fine (NHL maximum), it's like hitting us for five bucks.
Domi 8 games for what he did. I like Domi but that hit was BRUTAL, he should have been suspended half the season.

I think some of the calls have been bad, but to allow GM's or coaches rip them in public with full ammunity and the NHL does nothing is nuts, of course the officials will be swayed, Bettman does nothing to defend them, it's not an easy job.

Bottom line is if the NHL does nothing it will continue.

I just watched the hit again and no way is that hit not meant to injure. How long has there been NHL hockey, how may times have guys made that move, his hand never left the middle of his stick when he clotheslined him. I think they will suspend him 4-6 games, but if they REALLY want to do something, fine him $250,000.
The message will be clear.

Have a good night all.

Well, if Roberts hit on Jonsson wasn't an attenpt to injure I don't know what is.

I can see he turned his back, Roberts had to hit him and may have gotten a 2 minute penalty but ramming his head into the glass with his forearm after taking about 8 strides, I don't know, maybe it's me but I don't know anything else he could have been doing but trying to put him out of the game.

But what a gutless NYI team this is, the guy tries to dismantle your player and you do nothing, unreal.

And Yashin......he suits them very well.
