NT with a 22 game win streak in the Sun belt gets tested big time tonite.On ESPN 2 the Ragin Cajuns will be pumped.
Laf has the best off. in the SBC.Babb is a qb with over 2200 yds in passing and can run the ball.In the Kansas St game he had over 100 yds rushing.Lindon and Harrison are solid RB's and Sampy is a top Wr.They have a balanced attack scoring on the ground and air.
Laf defense is a problem esp rushing Td's.Two weeks ago vs Idaho,they gave up 470 yds and 306 on the ground.
NT is led by frosh sensation Jamario Thomas.he leads the nation in rushing replacing Cobbs who led the nation lyr.Jamario has 1,215 yds in 7 games.He avg's 173 a game.In his debut vs Colorado he had 250 yds.he has "speed,strength,and vision".NT runs that same old offense ..ball control..run,run,run play action,run,run,etc.So damn predicable but they are 4-0 in the conf.Jamario explosivness makes Hall dangerous.Hall the Qb has the same damn stats everyweek.8-12 150 yds and 2 tds. Tonite it will be 12-18 160 yds and 2 tds.His pass effc is great because there short passes.OL is doing a great job.
Mean green problem is defense.They are bad.DL is OK but LB's are the worse.Mostly all frosh they go for every fake,miss tackles,and assigments,etc.DB's are Ok but they lead in tackles.That tells you something about the front 7.
Tonite you have a powerful La-laf offense vs a bad NT defense.And you have a great running offense in NT vs a terrible rushing defense.
I'm leaning with the mean green and ball control.But the over looks like the a good play too.
NT beat UL-Monroe last week 45-30.NT defense allowed UL 30 1st downs and 224 yds on the ground.
These defense's have given up in SBC play.. NT..21,23,36 and 30..Not to bad. La-Laf-17,34,35,38 and 24.
Babb is dangerous but is playing with a bad back.Jamario is a stud and tonite will show why he is leading the nation in rushing. NT wins this 44-27.
Only playing a few boxes because this is not the great Mean green defense that has won the Sun belt conf the past 3 yrs.I will close my eyes everytime la-laf is on offense and pray the LB's are some place near the ball.
