Two for today. Good luck.
Montreal +170 over ATLANTA 400/680
Both pitchers have been sharp so I have to go with the hot Montreal lineup and a fade on the struggling Atlanta bullpen. Smoltz and Remlinger both struggled in their last outings while Lloyd, Herges and Stewart have quietly become a shutdown trio in the late innings for Montreal.
SAN DIEGO -125 over Colorado 500/400
Rare that I will play a favorite and there is a reason here. Colorado's bullpen has worked 3+ innings in each of their last three. Rockies hitters come from the thin air of Denver to the thick marine layer of a night game in San Diego. Lawrence is the Pads' ace and Nevin returns to give the lineup a boost. I am not the type of person to load up on a single game but I will say this is as strong a baseball play as I will make at this point in the season and with my current bankroll.
