Troy -7 over North Texas *
Leaving Austin,Texas tonight at 7 and arriving New Orleans at 7.55....a 55 minute flight...flying Frontier Airlines..no frills, seats don't go back and carry on is $40..so taking a back pack to put under my seat...leaving after 7 and coming back at 7 am Sunday am...those are the conditions..a total of $77 round trip...it will cost me more from the airport to my hotel and back then the flight...meeting some of my buddies from North Texas who are driving..but they are staying in Baton Rouge and have a $35 ticket for me...so I'm paying airfare, cab fare and hotel for 3 nights and get in the game free...plus tomorrow I want to go to see the World War 11 museum but none of them want to go....so too bad I'm going...by myself...

North Texas has played so well except for the FAU's games...got smoked in both..but Fine the 5'9 qb has shut everyone up..CUSA qb of the year.3,700 yds passing and 28 td's..not bad for a kid that wasn't offered and scholarships.... NT beat teams that should have and lost to ones they should have...maybe Army and La Tech were wins they did win..but Smoo and Iowa beat them..NT defense has been solid but vs FAU and Army gave up tons of points....NT lost one of their best DL in English who broke his foot...linebackers is there weakness...DB and DL has played well...
But NT also lost there best player Wilson at RB...major loss, big time loss..top rb who gained 1,215 yds and scored 16 touchdowns in 9 games....impact player...Frosh Nic Smith took over and gained 650 yds..but the biggest loss for Wilson is his blocking...he can block better then anyone back in the country...he flattens people out...last yr at West Point where NT upset Army I was sitting in the 3rd row and watched him take out 2 linebackers on 2 plays.. I mentioned this in the Army-North Texas thread a few weeks ago...Army blitzed and Nic was overwhelmed...
Troy is loaded..top Qb in Silvers,3,000 yds 13 td's...a good OL a few all conf players..a RB Chunn who has over 700 yds....and in the LSU upset win gained 191 yds...defense is where their strength...11th in the country in defense allowing 17 pts per game...No 1 in the country in red zone defense..2 outstanding cb's that play shut down...no one scored more then 25 points against them all year...

over and under is 62.could be an under game...think Troy's defense can stop Fine's passing attack since they will
bottle up the run... think Troy wins this 27-17..but will withdraw my one * -7 and pass on this game..no way can I sit and not cheer for my boys...
Troy -7 ***
for you guys...but will pass and just maybe put one * down on the Mean Green since I'm getting in free...I have such good friends...
take care...good luck...

Thanks Box! Enjoy!

For the most part I just can't bring myself to take a college Under. Part of it is the way offense in general has been the last decade or so and the other factor is the ridiculous nature of college overtime.

I'm sure someone has stats as to how college overtime rarely changes a total...I just get so worried that I'll take an Under and be completely on the right side of a 10-10 tie that turns into 27-24 in triple overtime and I get burned lol

I may put a little bit on N Texas and cheer w ya!! Thanks for the input as always!!

Troy -7 over North Texas ****
After further review I must switch again and take Troy over North Texas....all my buddies from North Texas think the Mean Green are in trouble tomorrow...and they all said what I said....there best player Wilson is not playing...cannot replace him with a freshman running back...in order to make Fine the CUSA Offensive POY succeed he needs a good running game...and Troy has the defense to stop that... Troy also is tops in creating turnovers..4 vs LSU in their upset win...NT does turn it over...one of my buddies who lives in Denton, teaches at North Texas and is the one who gets me all my info for hoops season says Troy should win by 2 td's or more...he has season tickets to both football and hoops...so I'll will go with him and take Troy..they did break LSU 40 game win streak vs non conference teams..,will cheer for NT but dinero is on Troy..both coaches in tomr game both were coaches at NC togeter..Littrell was off coord and Brown was def coord...

New Orleans is pretty amazing...got in and went to Canal and Bourbon and French quarter around 8.pm.... I would say from the hotel 3 blocks from Canal St I was asked by 10-15 panhandlers for money ..maybe about 5 homeless people sleeping on the sidewalks...went to eat at Kyristals ...friends told me is the southern White Castle...went into the restaurant and ordered 6 hamburgers....sat down to eat them in front of a big bay window on Bourbon...eating and watching all the people out walking,singing,etc...as I went down to bite a burger looked up and there was this big black dude in the window pane bending over so we were eye to eye...he was about 6 inches from me pressing up against the window...he was pointing down at my hamburgers... I wanted to laugh at first...he was right in my "grill"...so I waved him in towards the door...got up as he entered the doorway and gave him $5...told the the guy behind the counter to get make him some burgers...the guy went over to the counter and put his order in...I didn't wait around...for a thank you.. I had already finished up..and left to walk on Bourbon street...on the way back to the hotel a woman comes up to me and asks..." have no place to sleep, may I stay with you at your hotel..." I said sorry ma'm only visiting this hotel...lol damn and she was really pretty good looking but looked like she was strung out on drugs...been in New Orleans about 3 hours and saw so much...
This morning saw another 5-10 homeless sleeping on the sidewalks..went to Harrah's and played a few hours of blackjack..

Subcloser.. the Museum was outstanding.spent almost 4 hours there...the 4-D movie was amazing..didn;t know what 4-d is...its a 3D movie with tom Hanks narrating it..the other D is that the seats shake and rumble...you are on the beach in Normandy...tracer lights are coming at you and you as the german machine guns are shooting at you....I felt like ducking....great special effects.....there are 4 buildings that you go into...got to follow my fathers footsteps in North Africa and Italy...what a great place to visit...Jamulboy..I didnt get to see the Civil War Museum...just ran out time...and I am a civil war buff...
3 pete..will try to find the Ruby Slipper for tomr breakfast...I think I passed it someplace today

looking forward to seeing the superdome tomr...
