He has been hit hard by the Mets the last 2 times he has faced them, allowing a total of 10 earned runs in 10 innings over the 2 starts. He does not appear to be getting better either, as his WHIP of 1.41 over his last 3 starts is actually higher than his overall WHIP of 1.31. As for Trachsel, he is also under .500 at 3-5, and the league is batting a pretty potent .278 against him. Worst of all, the Mets bullpen was abused in their 3-game weekend series with Florida, so Trachsel may be asked to log more innings than he would like tonight.
