"The one sad thing of all this: What does it say about our health-care system, for being the most affluent country in the world, is so abominable that we can't provide the care we need?"

Is it that we can't provide the care that we need or people choose to use their money on other things before their teeth?

I'd be willing to venture a large part of our country pays a car payment anywhere b/w 300-400/month.

And they piss and moan about a crown that may cost 800 bucks and last 10 years.

So let me ponder that. Your fancy car payment for 2 months or a fucking tooth that impacts your daily quality of life. If people only put the same $ into their teeth as they do their cars, trips, jewelry, etc, they would be just fine.

The problem is in teaching people to value their teeth. They'd rather go toothless and have that Kate Spade purse or the new set of golf clubs. Hey that's life make your choices just don't give me a sob story when you damn well can afford it but choose not to.
