the 'canes being a big fav. tonight, i had to look at the close games they played through the season and dig up some key thoughts and this is what i think OSU must do to keep it close:
Rushing and time of possession: Both FSU and Pitt outrushed the Canes and held onto the ball longer, which in turn kept the Canes offense on the sidelines. Pitt 38:41 vs. Canes 21:19 and Pitt rushing yds 193 vs. Canes rushing yds 152.
FSU 34:02 vs. Canes 25:58.....FSU rushing yds 298 vs. Canes rushing yds 115.....The Buckeyes need a huge game from RB Clarett (like Jones did for FSU) and a controlled-error-free game from QB Krenzel (like Rix did for FSU and Rutherford did for Pitt...no int's!)...
It should also be noted that one thing that did help FSU is the 14 penalties the Canes had against them......
i like the Buckeyes as a double digit dog.....actually, hopefully Clarett will have a big game.....
