If there was to be a theoretical game between Miami of last year and this year, what would the line be?

According to Sagarin's ratings, last year's Miami team would be between a 9.5 and 10 pt favorite over this year's team. And yet this same team is a nearly 2 touchdown favorite over Ohio State? Its obvious the line is based on the public's perception of 2001 Miami, and it has created great value on the side of Ohio State.

I agree. Ohio St's defense should keep this closer than 2 touchdowns. I don't think Ohio St. is the second best team in the country, but they did what it took to get there. I see this game ending with a less than 10 point victory for Miami.

Very interesting and have to agree 100%. . . Ohio State will keep this game close with their defense and running game if anything. . . 10+ is great value IMO.

Also a small little play on the ML for the hell of it!

Love bowl season!

Couldn't agree more Valuist. That Miami team last year was the best team since the 1995 Nebraska squad that murdered Florida by 40 in the Fiesta Bowl. Ohio State is the play here. I'm holding out for 14 right now, but may have to grab 13.

Miami team of last year would be heavily favored over this year's team. In addition to their ability, they had a killer instinct to put teams away that this year's team either doesn't have, or perhaps is simply not good enough to do.

I'll say this to my dying day

I'll say this to my dying day

Lines like 6 1/2 and 13 are what I call " The Las Vegas Death Line"

It is perfectly spotted to keep drawing in money on both sides. And from my suspicious thinking ( sorry i can't help it ! LOL), that line is already padded up with the perception of automatic MIAMI money.

Does anyone else think this or am I just blowing smoke rings?
