Fresh off of their 4-0 pounding of the Wasington Bullets, the Heat are practicing hard, but without their stalwart big man, Shaquille O'Neal. He is still suffering from his deep thigh bruise and has not seen any great improvement this week. He is now going to see the Miami Dolphins doctors as they have more experience/insight whith this sort of injury. Tiny bone like fragments form inside the muscle with an injury like this and this is what is occurring.
The team seems to me to be less and less inclined to just brush this injury under the table. My guess is that he won't be ready to go when the team opens their series against Detroit or Indiana and will sit at least the first game, probably more. And, if and when he is ready, he will be limited, especially vertically.
