You don't need Spanish in so Beach. right where the cruise ships go out is bayside, lots of shopping & restaurants. Also Miami heat plays right in that area. If you like the Beach & clubs, South Beach is it for sure. If you have any car Coconut Grove is nice.

Bayside is nice, Doochuk. Be careful around much of Coconut Grove. And So Beach is nice & relaxing, also, but a bit on the expensive side.
You said "we". If it's you and a bud or two, the local strip clubs are top flight. Skip the North Dade ones, (too dangerous)head into South Broward where you'll find Cheetah, Scarlett's, Booby Trap, Tootsie's, all within a few miles of each other.
Have a good trip and like they said above, you'll need your passport just to get into the Miami area.:mj07: :scared

Check out the Marriott Key Biscayne. Rates should be similar. Real close to the ships. Took the kids down to the marina there at the hotel and you see the ship you're going to be on.

Which ship? Freedom?

You should go check out the jai alai. I lived down there (Broward) 4 years and went all the time. Dania is more enjoyable fronton than the one in Miami. Not a bad drive if you have a rental car just head up A-1A from South Beach and you can enjoy the sights along the way.

Check out their web site. They are closed certain days but offer matinees on certain days too in addition to the evening play. I used to play a lot of $6 triboxes and basically put numbers together, grab a beer and just sit and watch the action. Fastest game in the world they say.

Have fun! When are you going? I will be down there March 22nd-28th.

I agree about the jai alai. If you've never been, you should absolutely do it. I went several years ago when I was on a vacation. Next time i'm in the area, I'll definitely go back.

I agreed, the Marriott Biscayne is very nice, and practically walking distance to your ship & Bay side. Also the public transportation is right at the Marriott and also the Causeway is right exact there going to South Beach.
