Ray Lucas is 6-3 lifetime starter. I have watched him all pre-season and mini camp (in person). Ray is extremely athletic and will fill in nicely for Jay. It will be hard to tell the difference in the two accept Ray has a rocket for an arm. Ray has more ability to throw the deep ball. I think all will be very surprised by the play of Ray Lucas. I would not look for any angles on the betting line he does not downgrade this team one bit. This offense is built on a Norv Turner system. Ray can step right in and pick up where Jay left off. This system is TRULY about RICKY WILLIAMS.

Actions will prove Ray is credible.

I believe alot of people will take Buffalo this weekend based on Ray taking over for Jay. That will be a big mistake ! I will wait for the line to drop further it has from 5 now to 4.5. I will load up VERY BIG as Buffalo will come down to 88 degrees and 80 % humidity this weekend.

Lots of Luck !

What kind of runner is Lucas? I seem to remember him as more of a pocket passer, but if he can put pressure on the defense with the ability to make big runs he might be better than Fiedler (at least short term).

The Dolphins have no problems winning in Buffalo in the cold.

I think you should be more concerned with your defense.

I mean come on the FIRST YEAR EXPANSION TEXANS just about beat you yesterday...Cold no problem Defense BIG PROBLEM !

GL !

P.S. Drew Bledsoe does not solve your teams problems.

gl on the game this week! hope its agodd one-only thing going for buffalo is maybe a dolphin let down after a hard hiting game yesterday

High..........I agree. It is Ricky's & Norm's system. In addition to your comments, It should be noted that Lucas got a great deal of time working with the first unit during the pre season and this should help.

Some older Dol-fans will remember the perfect season when Greise went down with an injury & Earl Morrall came in, stepped right up & did the job......THE HITMAN

*I second Pete's nomination for Commish. But, he will have a hard time dragging himself away from the wine, women & song(& gambling) he is enjoying in S Fla. !! He shows up for all of the above regularly at the local race tracks
**And, BTW, he brings a huge bankroll with him each time. The odds board dances each time he goes to the window.

Don't think the weather will bother the Bills. it was in the 90's most of august at camp in Rochester and high humity as well.

Bills plus the points will be my play. Drew always did well against Fins as a Patsy and he had nowhere near the talent at wideout as he does in Buffalo

(I said that I thought Moulds and Price were the best WR tandem in the league at the beginning of the season and that Price may be the better of the two. All I got was flak. Anybody want to disagree now??)

Loss of Chambers hurts Fins more then Friedler as he had ability to stretch defense. Lucas is going to have to find somebody deep early or Bills will start to crowd the line.

Bills have not shut down a running game yet this year. In the wacky world on the NFL why not have thier first good game against the run come against the best back in the league right now.

Drew has kept the Bills in every game this year. No reason for that to end now.

FINALLY....remember that the Fins are the Bills most hated rivals. Ask any Bills fan what team they would like to beat and 95% WILL SAY MIAMI. They always get up for the Dolphins. Last year the Fins came into Buffalo and were LUCKY to leave with a win as the league worst Bills gave the playoff Dolphins all they could handle. Beating the Dolphins is all that matters!!

PS..... One reason realignment took so long to happen was the Bills owner Ralph Wilson would not agree to move out of Miami's division. He knows the Bills - Dolphins is a guarnetee sell out every year. Even if it is late december at 10 below, the Bills fans will pack the stadium. God help the poor soul who walks in RWS with a Dolphins jersy on. I don't condone the behavior but I have seen them treated with the rudest of behavior.

the way i see it is..buffalo will stack the line and try to shut down ricky! and have lucas try to beat them. remember buffalo's corners are pretty good...its the safety they ned help in!

and ur right fingers...drew has owned the fins in the past and i would rather have him being behind than lucas or fiedler. that was one of the reason why bills struggled in houston yesterday--look ahead of the team they hate the most!

think it will be a war....but lets not forget what happened last nite....dolphins had to play there asses off-to get theat w in denver-which is not an e-z place to win @

2Fingers......Bledsoe's record with the Pats in Miami was not good. I am too lazy to look up the exact stats, but NE is like 6-23 in Miami lifetime. And, They have NEVER won a game there in their history in the month of October.

It is still warm & humid here. Also, as any one who lives here knows, you can't acclimate yourself to the humidity . Practicing in the heat in August in Rochester (Believe me, I come from central NY, and there is, comparitively speaking, NO humidity in Rochester) will not help them one bit as your body loses whatever acclimation they may have picked up . Coming down here a couple of days early does not help either. It takes many weeks to actually get acclimated.......this only gives the team an extra nite out on the town, that is all. I have seen some players actually go to the beach on the Fri or Sat before a game , big , big mistake. You especially see that with the U Miami opponents. Tryin to get a tan in a day will only get you burned. and, heaven forbid if any drinking is involved, as alcohol & the heat are a double whammy.
Good point about Moulds & Price, tho. An excellent tandem that MIAMI D will have their hands full with. And, to show you that I am not all that biased, I have Bledsoe & Price on my Fantasy team this year ! GL................THE HITMAN

First OFF, Any one who thinks the Dolphins don't have trouble winning in Buffalo in cold weather is wrong. The Bills owned the Dolphins in the Early 90's by simply running the ball down their throats. I'm not betting the game, but I will be drinking heavily and rooting like hell for the BILLS to win.

hitman i know what ur saying! what i mean i 85 degrees in buffalo is like 100 degrees in florida! i have inlaws that live in appollo beach florida have been down there many times! reason why niami heat hurts a team like buffalo now is there body is accustomed to 60 degrees or lower by now!

two fingers made a point how buffalo fans would be very rude towards fin fans in the ralph! well i wqs down in miami to see kelly vs. marino a game where fins won something by 13-6? but anyways talk about rude fans.. iu was w/my wife and her mother and father-. u want to talk about fans who are scum bags!

thats why when i se a dolphin fan in the ralph i will say what i think of him and his team! yes this is a huge rival-not just the teams but also the fans!

Your probably right about the weather. if it is very humid the Bills may suffer from the effect some but Miami will feel some of those effects also.

I agree with the Bills over sentiment. Can't get off that train right now. Same thing with MNF over. Don't care who is playing or what the number is, just give me the over.

jmizeus- Couldn't agree more with you on the humidiy vs heat. Humidity you can barely breathe at time and wears you down faster than plain heat.
