[h=4]This Week's Pure Michigan 400[/h]Yahoo: Top 30 Drivers
DraftKings DFS: Preview | Full Article | Post-Qualifying | Practice Recap
The impressive run that Joe Gibbs Racing has been on the last couple of months continued in a big way during qualifying at Michigan International Speedway. Led by Matt Kenseth, JGR drivers claimed the Top 3 starting spots for Sunday's Pure Michigan 400, and all four of the team's drivers will start in the Top 6.
Kenseth earned the top spot with a lap of 197.488 mph in the final round of qualifying. It was his third pole of 2015 and his first-ever pole at MIS. For JGR, it was the first time in the organization's history claiming the first three spots in qualifying. Needless to say, JGR seems to have a pretty good handle on the high-drag aero package being used this weekend, and you have to consider a JGR stack at DraftKings.
Austin Dillon and Tony Stewart rounded out the Top-5 and broke up a potential JGR sweep, and heavy hitters Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson and Joey Logano are also lurking in the Top-10.
History says starting up front will pay off at MIS on race day for those drivers hoping to reach victory lane. Of the 92 previous races here, 26 have been won from the front row. Meanwhile, 69 races have been won from a Top-10 starting spot, and just seven races have been won by a driver starting outside the Top 20.
