Reading in the Chicago-Sun Times today:

HILL OF A THING: Just when Michigan State starts to make a move toward the top of the conference, one of its prime players goes down with an injury. Sophomore guard Alan Anderson, the team's second-leading scorer, is expected to miss three to four weeks after dislocating a finger while catching a pass in practice.

Anderson's absence means MSU, which has won its last three games, has switched Chris Hill back to starting point guard, where he likely will remain. Rashi Johnson will back up Hill as he did for seven minutes Saturday at Indiana.

Hill missed eight of his first nine shots Saturday after moving from shooting guard.

''You just have to adjust and it took me a while,'' said Hill, who scored eight points in the game's final two minutes and overtime.

hope it helps

73.5: The winning percentage of home teams in Big Ten play. Home teams are 36-13, on pace to top last season's record-setting mark of 71.6 percent.

Not sure if this means much, but something I've noticed over the years. It seams like when a key player goes down, the team seams to really rally around each other the 1st game, show a lot of emotion, especially with the injured player sitting on the bench cheering them on, and generally play above their heads. This is exactly what happened Saturday when they played Indiana. Then comes that 2nd game after the injury. A big let-down spot. Hard to get that same intensity, especially on the road, and Wisconsin is a very tough place to go in and win at. Myself, I am playing Wisconsin -5' for the game and Wisconsin -3 in the 1st half, with the 1st half being the stronger of the 2 plays.

The absence of Andersson will no doubt be missed MS still posting eight players playing 20gms Auger expected to play
the only question that might play into factor is foul trouble....

Still playing this loaded team from last year tonite but may reduce the unit down to 1, Hope the bench can pick up the slack:eek:
