It's great news for Michigan. SC loses to ND or UCLA and there's a rematch. Exactly the way it should be.
One can debate whether it was a great game, whether there should be rematches, if it is fair to OSU and so on, but if the idea of the BCS is to have the best two teams in the title game I dont think anyone can really dispute those two are Ohio State and Michigan.
no interest in a rematch
knew the public bs would be out in full force today "what a great game", "there should be a rematch", blah, blah, blah
i had mich +7
it was not a "great game"......great games are back and forth, each team leads, the outcome is in doubt.....was never really the case yesterday
personally, i'd be very tempted to lay whatever number they hang out on osu there if there was a rematch
now if sc loses and fla-ark each lose a game, it's a no brainer that there should be a rematch beacuse there would be nobody left with an argument.....(sorry nd, im a domer fan, but mich rolled the irish at home)
if sc loses and fla runs the table (esp of ark beats lsu), i think it's very debateable as to who deserves to be #2, fla or mich
just surprised that mich didnt end up #3 at best right now in the bcs, guess sc is gonna have to win with style points.......
funny thing is, the loser of sc-mich debate is gonna feel cheated and get the consolation prize, the rose bowl (the former granddaddy of them all) and could we be lining up for another possible
AP title for SC
BCS champ for Mich

Michigan is the 2nd best team in the country because they only won 3 games against BCS teams with a winning record? (compared to USC who already has 7 and may finish with 9 wins against BCS teams with a winning record)
Or because Michigan trailed by double digits to Ohio St. late 4th quarter despite being +3 turnovers?
Wins over Ball St., CMU, and Vanderbilt in OOC? [/B] (compared to USC with wins @Arkansas and Nebraska)
:nono: :nono: :nono:

I don't know how people keep saying that "we know" OhioSt and Mich are best 2 teams.
OhioSt is deserving of #1....best team.
Michigan is a 1-loss team that played an easy schedule. They are lumped in with 5 other teams. Why are they being rewarded for playing and losing a conference game?
If ND had lost to OSU and not played Mich, should it matter that much?
I understand the head-to-head slightly, but how should Mich be ahead of Fla? Ark? USC?
They are being rewarded for when they lose when everyone dropped 10 spots when they lost. Oh wait, ND dropped 10 spots, everyone else still dropped 3-8 spots.
You lose, you drop. If Mich. loses in January, do we have to play it yet again? Is this 1972 USA/Russia basketball. Jeez.
If USC wins out, no questions or doubts that they will play for the NC. End of story. Beat a big 12 co-champ (Nebraska), SEC co-champ (Arkansas) , and potentially ND. Can't deny that. The first 2 games mentioned above were double digit one-sided wins.
Although, Scott4USC please quit referring to turnovers keeping Michigan in the game as you are not mentioning 2 long runs by Ohio St (they wipe each other out) and personal foul call late.
And lastly, don't forget that this was at OSU.
Sure the supposed great Michigan D got torched, but so did OSU's.
Nonetheless, USC's spot in the NC to lose.
