I saw an interview a few days ago with Jereme Richmond, Illinois' freshman, who said that they will need to keep up with Michigan, because Mich have to win to make the tourney, and Illinois doesn't have that pressure on them. So, as far as Illinois' players go, they are pretty confident they don't need this win for an NCAA bid. There's one angle.
