I'm pretty new to this site, but am curious if anyone knows the latest on Mallett and Manningham for '08 as well as the latest word on Pryor. I personally wouldn't mind seeing Mallett take off, but Manningham is another story. Has he confirmed one way or the other? Looks like the logical choice would be for him to go pro, but we can hope, right?

Carr knows Mallett's decision but said he would not announce it, he would let Ryan tell it when he is ready. I have not heard anything on the others yet.

Interesting...I've heard that Mallett hasn't necessarily earned the respect of his teammates (especially when it comes to leading them in the coming years)...seems like he is a tough guy to get along with, but that's just my opinion. I'm just hoping that he will make a decision sooner rather than later (like Carr did) to avoid jinxing us on the Pryor deal if that is meant to be.

Ryan Mallett has decided to leave Michigan and will transfer to UCLA, according to a person close to the team. This should be announced this weekend. Regarding Manningham see below.

"I'm going back," he said. "I want to get my degree."
When a reporter told the receiver he seemed to be joking, Manningham stood by what he said.
"I'm being for real," Manningham said.

He looks to be gone as well.

Thanks for the news on Mallett. Good luck to Big Tex.

For Manningham, it sounds to me like he is intending to stay. Maybe I am missing something but how do you take those comments to mean he is leaving?

Why would any Michigan fan care if Mallett leaves?

The B.M.O.C. will be soon Terrelle Pryor and if Manningham stays that makes it even better. Pryor will be a 4 yr starter.

Manningham and Arrington are gone if Erik Campbell is not re-hired (sounds like he will not be). Pay no mind to what Mario is saying publicly.

Loeffler is going to UCLA after turning down an offer from Fat Phil. Mallet may well follow. Mallet may also stick around for spring to see how he likes the offense and then transfer if he does not. Very fluid situation at this point with him.

Informed scuttlebutt around Orlando was that if Mallet leaves Pryor is 99% blue.

I'd love to see Manningham go to the NFL now and get his pansy ass clocked.

He never takes a hit, always runs for the sideline even if he needs only one more yard to get a first down his pansy ass skirts out of bounds so he doesn't get hit.

Can't wait to see him TRY AND PLAY IN THE NFL.:mj07: :scared :142smilie

ala: Randy Moss, Marvin Harrison, Torry Holt, Issac Bruce- some of the best receivers in the game are known for not taking hits and getting down.......I have a feeling Super Mario will be fine.......

Sounds like Loeffler is back considering Tennessee after another push by them. Mallet is all but gone based on what he's telling people. Likely he'll go wherever Loeffler goes.

Ohio State still the front runner for Pryor. Pryor hung out with the OSU recruits all week at the High School All-American game played Saturday. Tressell plans on using Troy-Smith-like A. Henton at QB in National Championship Game part-time to show Pryor what offense would be like if he commits to OSU.......offense much like was available to Troy Smith. Buckeyes already have top 2 recruiting class for '08 and have 3 blue chips who redshirted this season. Future much rosier for Pryor instantly if he chooses Buckeyes. Tressell has indicated that even though Boeckman is returning as Senior QB, the position would not necessarily be his if Pryor commits. Tressell is loyal to his guys but also knows it's all about winning nowadays.

On Pryor: UM is getting the last official visit. Mallet should be gone by then. The door would be wide open for him to start from day one in both football and hoops, and it's no secret he has concerns about playing in OSU's offense. He does have friends who are commits to OSU. Should be an interesting finish.

Good info CWood........I just don't get the concerns others have about OSU's offense. When Joe Germaine was QBing, the offense was pass-happy......with Hoying it was split about 55-45......with Krenzel it was more conservative but the QB did some running as part of the offense......with Troy Smith it was a big-time spread offense.....with the current system it's about split with a little more emphasis on the run.....Tressell can imput any offense to succeed depending on the QB's strengths......it seems that the one's with the concerns on OSU's offense are the one's trying to lure Pryor to their respective school. he is highly coveted though and showed why for the national audience yesterday.
