Anyone think Michigan has a letdown here?

For some reason I have a strong feeling that this game will be vey close with Wisky possibly winning outright.

Michigan is definitely the better team, but I see a big letdown game here, and Wisky should be fired up.

Any thoughts?

Wisky's been tough as an away dog, but Michigan lately has been tough as a dd fav.

It's an entirely different game for Michigan than last week and Wisconsin has done everything that's been expected from them so far.

I don't think Bucky has any chance to win the game, but they should be within 10 the entire game.

My guess is will be your typical Big Ten high noon snoozer, probably something like 17-10 Michigan.

The under is definitely a play. I would probably stay away from the sides on this one. The revenge dynamic hasn't come into play in a long long time in this series for UM, so maybe the let down won't be as much as a factor as we think.

I have bet the under when the line was released the last five years in this series and its won all five times. Don't mess with a good streak!

I will be shocked it Michigan loses this game...they are eyeing a chance to go undefeated now and their Defensive front 4 is just awesome...

The only thing that scares me about taking Wisky in this one is their offense.

It really doesn't seem that great at all.

Last week they looked horrible only putting up 2 touchdowns at home vs. San Diego State.

Plus, Michigan has a great Defense this year.

I just like the let down factor a lot here. After Michigan has a huge road win, they usually come back home and just play to get the win.

So, I really can't see a blow out here.

Also, as Cwood mentioned, this game is at Noon, and Michigan usually comes out slow in these games.

Was at the Wisky/Sd St game...

Was at the Wisky/Sd St game...

Wisconsin's D is legit

Pj Hill the redshirt freshman is a very solid rb

Stocco and his receivers are a mess...bad passes and numerous dropped balls...no chemistry

Bieliema (sp?) is a freak on the sidelines. Bitching at the refs and going on the field at every call that didn't go Wisky's way. Did not show any composure at all.

See wisky scoring around 7-10
Michigan around 24-28

Let's call it 27-10

Good luck to all

First off....anything i say about Michigan needs the disclaimer that i am a life long, die hard Wolverine fan....and that i might be still a little tipsy from Saturday's overdue beat down of the Irish.

But, yes, Big Blue needs to be on letdown alert. They are 2-9 ATS coming off a straight up win as an underdog. I will say that Carr and company have been focusing on this three week stretch of "revenge" games, so the boys will be ready to play, but dont overlook the Badgers. Wisconsin never shows anything during pre-conference games. The Badgers had been 11-4 in Big 10 openers and 11-4 as road dogs under Alvarez, can that continue with a new coach?

The margin of victory in this series the last five games have been 3 ('05 the only Wisco win in this quick sample of games), 7, 3, 3 and 5 and the two times before that were 17 and 10, so getting +14 should at worst keep you in the ballgame if past history holds up.

Obviously, CWood is onto something with over. Total points in the last 7 games in the series: 43, 35, 37, 23, 37, 37 and 42.

Since Michigan has lost four straight games that i have attended and i will be in Big House come Saturday, you might want to consider the Wisco moneyline:142smilie Hopefully that trends stops, however!!!!

CWood said the under was the play.

Would it be possible for you to call in sick and just watch on TV ?

Like i said, still a little tipsy from Saturday's win......i knew CWood said Under, sorry about that....Carr and Alvarez seemed to enjoy playing defense and special team affairs against one another, typical Big-10 slug fests....last year's game was a veritable shoot out with both clubs making it into the 20's!

Very interested in seeing how Wisconsin plays the Big-10 in Year One after Barry.

And, there is a cabal of my fellow Wolverine backers here in Toledo who are currently conspiring to keep me away from the games this year......felt like i needed to go to either the Vandy or CMU games to get off this streak, but was out of town.....throw in the fact the basketball and hockey teams went a combined 0-3 with me in the building last year and Michigan is 0-7 lately with me in person! Yikes!

If i go, i should wear a disguise....and, if they lose, put my tickets up on StubHub or something from here on in!!!

I agree 100% with rrc, also think the final will be about 27-10. Gotta think Mich will make the so far inconsistant stocco, and young recievers beat them. Mich D is awesome, Buckys isnt too shabby, but I think Mich can throw on us, espectially if we don't get pressure. Maybe CWood can give a little more on this, but this just feels like a different Michigan team than the past few years, scary different. FWIW I'm takin the under and leaning towards UM. GL:toast:

Interesting how both sides seem to be advocating against the teams they follow. A lot of my friends from school are all expecting a Michigan blowout.

Me? Well I watch this game every year, and it just seems to always be close, whether it was a year both teams were strong or a year when UW was down and Michigan was strong. I don't know that this is a game worth betting on, but there's no way I'd lay two touchdowns with the Wolverines. I expect Michigan to win by 7-14 pts.
