HP UMP Layne is 13-10 O/U and 15-8 HT which bodes well for CHICAGO and OVER. The interesting part is, LAYNE'S last SEVEN games have all GONE OVER

with the home team winning, and 8 of his last ten have gone OVER, with the AWAY team winning both games that went UNDER. Ironically, both games won by visiting teams involved a DAVIS. DAVIS of CINCY beat Hermanson 3-1, and DAVIS of TEX beat HUDSON at OAK, 2-1, both games back in JUNE. Granted, not many games involved top notch pitchers, but APPIER was involved in that streak as was MADDUX. He was also behind the plate on MONDAY when the CUBS won 7-4 with LIEBER. He's UMPED 10 Milw games over the past 3 seasons, and MILW is 2-8 in those games. HAYNES is 0-2, while Tavarez is 0-1, the CUBS 5-5 in the last ten with LAYNE behind the plate.

Over the last 5 times the Cubbies have scored 10 runs or more, they have followed them up with 4 WINS and 5 OVERS, and the total all went into the double digits. Along with the info you put up with the HP umpire. I'd have to take the Cubbies and the Over today.

Thanks, Good Luck

Well, hopefully SAMMY has 3 more dingers in him today, looks like we're gonna need em!! Man, 5-0 already and only one out... not the start I was hoping for, but I posted a DOUBLE PLAY on the OVER, so I'm fine there.

I think the CUBS come back in this game, don't know if they can pull it out, but it's far from over... CUBS rallied on MON to beat this same BREW CREW with the same UMP behind the plate.

Yeah, but food for thought on why the Cubs won't even make the playoffs: They just took Tavarez out and replaced him with the remarkably poor Todd Van Poppel.

I would just be very careful EVER backing the Cubs, but the Over, that's a different story.
