for those who have watched him lately, his 31/35 89% FG streak ... hows he scoring, inside/out, both?

I have him 10/1 for ROY and was wondering if hes about ready to "get the knack" etc of nba, or are big games lately more or less an anomaly?

Sorry, I just havent got to see him play a single game yet, just highlights ...

would love to hear people who know game pretty well and have seen him from beginning to current explosion and comment on his progress

thanx a ton, gregg

I haven't seen nearly ALL of his games but I've seen a cross section including last night's game. Most of his scoring is from very close in where he is basically shooting down into the basket or dunking. He did have several short 'jumpers' (if you can call it that) from 3-10 feet and he certainly had a nice touch last night. He looked comfortable last night and runs the court fairly well for someone of his immense size although whenever he had to make a couple of quick trips he looked winded to me. The smaller guys can still go around him whenever they wish but he does change shots on the interior, I don't think there is any doubt about that.

One interesting note - Ming was interviewed about the Charles Barkley ass kissing incident and his response was 'I have used his comment as a motivation factor' (something to that effect). He thought about his remark for a few seconds, gauging his response, it first appeared to me that he was definitely bothered by Charles comments, but Ming was very diplomatic in his response and demonstrated to me that he has very competitive instincts.

I think you have a good bet.
