Minnesota at Michigan (Under 59)

Forecast is for cold and rainy in Ann Arbor tomorrow.

Under is 10-2 in UM's last 12 conference games.
Under is 7-2 in UM's last 9 games in October. Under is 5-1 in Gophers' last 6 games as a road underdog of 10.5 or greater.
Under is 11-4 in UM's last 15 games as a favorite.

Thoughts?

I think the under is the play. Michigan's offense is banged up and they will sit on the lead in the second half. They just want this game over with so they can concentrate on their final three games (Sparty, Wisky and OSU). Minnesota is rotten and will struggle against Michigan's rejuvenated defense. I can't see them getting more than 17 points which means Michigan needs to get 42. That has happened once this year for the Wolverines, against Purdue.

Thanks Falcon... always respect your opinion.

I agree with your thoughts on Gophers not putting up many points. I don't know if this game even makes the 50s. If it does, then Michigan wins something like 45-7. It's ugly no matter how you slice it.

I think the under makes sense from everything mentioned above, but the Gopher defense is possibly the worst defense in the country. Michigan could throw out their recruits from next season and score on this team. And, the Gophers seem to be able to move the ball pretty well, as they are becoming more accustomed to the spread offense. I wouldn't go overboard with this one, but good luck to you guys.

Minnesota's defense is horrible but Michigan is notorius for keeping the score down especially when they are banged up. Barring any special teams or defensive scores I think this stays under easily.

The under looks like a good play. If Henne doesn't play, Michigan will play conservatively and run the ball to get the game over quickly.

I felt pretty good when it was 3-0 after the 1st Qtr.

Didn't know that Minnesota was going to show up and play today.

Big stop by the Gophers defense to hold Michigan to a FG there. 10-6 with 6:15 to go in the first half.

21 points by Michigan in the 2nd half. Still 8 and a half minutes to go. Hopefully they can keep Minnesota off the scoreboard and run the clock out. I can handle two more TDs... no more though! :SIB
