It?s getting pretty dire around here. Not only are the Gophers losers of nine of their last 10, there are reports that they might be without the services of Amir Coffey and Dupree McBrayer for the upcoming game against Indiana. What does that mean? Well, it means that the team could technically be down to just seven scholarship players. Patently ridiculous.

That?s just how things have gone in this nightmare of a season. Nate Mason scored a career-high 34 points in a tough loss to Nebraska. But, honestly, if Minnesota can?t pull a victory off at home behind a career high from arguably the team?s best player, then what chance do they have? The task doesn?t get any easier as they take to the road against Indiana, who originally set the Gophers off on this terrible streak.

Make no mistake about it, the Hoosiers are not good. But these days Minnesota just doesn?t have the firepower to hang with anyone from the Big Ten.

KenPom doesn?t like the Gophers in this one, but only predicts a four-point loss, 75-71. Hard to imagine the Gophers pull this one out on the road and with only seven scholarship players available.
