Actually Minny had the Bears and Bills beat, and very easily could have beaten the Panthers as well. Should truly be 3-2 at this point and I think they know it. There is still lot's of upside with this team this year. If only the defense could play respectable.

I would have to agree with your assessment of the Jets, not much to add there. I think they would love to be as good as the Vikings.

One word: OVER!

Ok, a few more words....

I think we all know Minny can score, and Minny can definitely give up points in boatloads too. Jets D is one of the worst, so Minny shouldn't have problems putting up points. What about the Jets? Can they take advantage of this opportunity?

Five Jets games this year.

Destroyed 3 times:
44-7 loss to NE
30-3 loss @ Mia
28-3 loss @ Jax

A close loss and a win:
37-31 OT win @ Buf
29-25 loss vs KC

So which team shows up this week...the one that scored 13 points total in 3 losses, or 62 points in 2 games? Hmmm....

NE defence = good
Mia defence = good
Jax defence = good

Buff defence = awful
KC defence = awful
Minny defence...well, whaddya know.... awful!

I detect a pattern.

:D :D :D

NYJ's best defensive effort all year was giving up ~only~ 28 pts. Minny's fewest allowed this year is 21. That's 49 pts right there! Getting Over 48 in this game is looking like a bargain.

I'm with you, GM. Upon a very quick look, I get something like MIN 29, NYJ 24, and that's enough cushion for me to go with the Over. I think you're also correct that the Jets' low scoring games are keeping this total too low, but the Vikings won't be able to hold them down like the good defenses you listed. I wouldn't be surprised if this game was 21-17 at halftime.

VIKINGS were 0 - 8 on the road last year.
VIKINGS are 0 - 2 on the road this year.

JETS coming off bye-week. Jets needed that week off. They were getting zapped and just come off a very close loss against a Hard-Ass Kansas City Chief team. And Vikes were in a win position some of their games.

I'm looking the six pointer Jets + 3 over 42.

I'm looking at Vikes + 9 and over 42 also.

Check WAYNE CHREBET injury status !

Hmmmmm, a matchup of the two worst defenses in the league. I bet even Moss "wants to play" this weekend.

Take it to the bank

Over - - - BIG!

Minnesota has showed decent improvement in stopping the run. They give up less than a 100 yds rushing/game and 4.0 ypc. The Jets give up 190 rush yds/game and 5.4 ypc. Both teams pass defense is terrible. The Vikings have a big edge in the rush game (145 yds/game and 5.0 to 76.2 a game and 4.1 for NYJ). This game isn't as close as it looks at first. Minnesota getting 3 looks like the logical play.
