What a gritty performance:clap: . Lemaire did his magic once again! and took a chunk of my bankroll with him:( . They did what my Kings couldn't do for 2 straight years. The Avs gave them all they had, but Manny was SUPER, and when he gives up a rebound, the defense comes up and gets it out of the zone. That goal in OT was fawking beautiful. Is "The King" finally on his inevitable decline?? Great job to the Minny backers:D  :thumb: :spotting:

No chit, TV. Minny played a perfect game, and was backed up by an awesome goaltender tonite. This game easily could have been a Colo run away if not for Manny. Their D bent but didn't break. Lemaire is a fawking genius

Chenks, gonna stick around for a little bit longer. I'm gonna dump another load on the Sens vs the Flyers in game1. Definitely will be done if that one loses. Plus I'm playing the Quacks to win their series:eek: . And you gotta love Minny to give Vanc fits in that series, too.

Agree on Roy, if he has another mediocre year, I think he'll pull another Hasek and ride off into the sunset. Hell, he's already done more than any goalie in history.

I personally questioned the two penalty calls that got them goals especially the first one but BOTTOM LINE is the Avs should have never been in this situtation & they only have themselves to blame. My team deserved to lose.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WILD

New Fan!!!

New Fan!!!

I was a big time North Stars fan growing-up. I attended many games at the Met Center and enjoyed all of the North Stars' Stanley Cup runs. Since they left, I have not watched nor attended a Wild game. I watched tonight's game and for the first time feel like I can root for a Minnesota team again. I have not seen that type of effort or determination in a sports team in quite awhile. Long live the Wild, you have a new fan!!!

2 very questionable calls, especially the 1st one. But you're 100% right, the Avs put themselves in this situation.

Was it just me, or did Granato look scared pacing the bench late in the game:D

I nailed a small play at 28:1 when the Wild were down 3 games to 1. There's no quit in this lunchbox group. I see them getting by Vancouver in 6.

As far as the bad calls on Ave's -- what about the phantom 'holding the stick' call on Hendrickson? I was throwing stuff at my TV when the pp goal scored after that lame call.

Forsberg is a player, but once again proved why he has indeed been voted 'Best Actress'.

Ave's were outcoached and out-special teamed in this series...

The call on Hendrickson was bullshit as well but taking that goal away & taking away the goal on the BS penalty that led to the Wild's first goal, the Avs would have still been up & won but as I said it is moot since the Avs got what they deserved for blowing the series like they did.

Can a team such as The Wild, completely outwork and
grind out a series win over a more skilled team like
the Avs. That's the beauty of this game. In the playoffs,
it's all about having gritty character type guys on your
team, not necessarily all the primadonnas. Players that
aren't afraid of 2-way hockey and going into the corners
to dig out a puck, or going down to block one when it's
necessary. Most teams can win the majority on home ice,
but the winners will take critical games on the road.......
