Really looking to hear from tide and mississippi fans here....am i the only person in the world who thinks mississippi has a chance to win SU???? I realize that after bama wins by 40 points I will look like an idiot for asking this, but i have this game staying way inside the spread and think its going to be a good game.

No way in hell Ole Miss wins SU... Bama has only lost to Ole Miss 9 times in the all time series... Ole Miss offensively has the ability to put up points in this game but will be tough against the tough Tide D at home... I really don't see Ole Miss having much success stopping Bama's ground game either being so banged up on D... But I was very puzzled when I saw the line so high

21 points is a lot of points to give up. I realize everyone expects Bama to bounce back this week and dominate Ole Miss but having gone to many Bama/Ole Miss games, I can tell you that for some reason Ole Miss plays Bama close every year. Not sure if Bama just plays down to their level or Ole Miss just really gets up for the Bama game. Probably a combination of the two. I realize Alabama is a much different team than it was 3 years ago with far better talent but 3 touchdown advantage is big. We could only put up 21 vs. USC and on the other hand we gave up 35. Masoli is starting to understand their offense and make some plays. Bama has had enough trouble this year just getting pressure on pocket passers (Mallett, Garcia) now we gotta get after a mobile QB that can throw very accurately on the run. Masoli has made some of the best plays in his career when he was flushed from the pocket and on the run. This could be a problem. No way do I see Ole Miss winning this game but I can definitely see them keeping it within 10-14 pts. I hope im wrong but here are the scores from the last 5 yrs/games.

10/10/09 ALAB 22 - MISS 3
10/18/08 MISS 20 - ALAB 24
10/13/07 ALAB 27 - MISS 24
10/14/06 MISS 23 - ALAB 26
10/15/05 ALAB 13 - MISS 10

You are not the only one that thinks ole miss will beat alabama. i was talking with ex coach Billy Brewer yesterday and he also said ole miss was going to win SU. He also sid that ole miss was a much better team than people think they are. I told him they could have fooled me.lol

I want to take Ole Miss plus the 3 tds despite their OL woes. How do the Tide handle a loss? I get the feeling the answer is not well. McElroy quotes led me to believe he is still dwelling in that defeat. Not to mention, Bama has played 3 consecutive physical games w/o a break. Plus, Miss is off a bye.

Bama's inexperienced D are not as good as the masses would like to believe and the numbers prove it.

I think that is his very first loss in any type of football so I'm not surprised that he is still dwelling on it....It has been shown that teams with capable qbs can throw on the Bama 2ndary....

If Bama wins this game by over 3 TDs than Saban should get saint-hood....

I believe that Ole miss keeps it within 2tds. For some reason that game is always played tight with the exception of last year. If Bama had beaten SC then i would say less than 10 pts would be the final, with nutt two weeks to prepare these are the games he does well in. But again the only problem is Bama off a loss i would say that couldnt constiute 10 points... or at least i hope not...I played Ole miss 21
Good luck to all.

well thanks for all the feedback, just played them again plus the points after hearing what everyone thought...i just like the kid masoli he makes plays for a living and he is a winner (atleast last year in oregon havnt seen him much this year). may lay off playing them too win SU, but this is one of those games where i just have this weird feeling. May just be from the the beer i drank last night:shrug:

big play for me here on the black bears as think masoli has gotten used to offense and was he not a heisman contenter while at oregon.

also like florida -7 (buy hook) big.

will also play these in a parlay.

He did a great job running Oregon's offense against a lot of weak Pac-10 teams but I wouldnt say he was a Heisman contender. Now he's in the SEC and going up against quality defenses every week. So far he hasnt looked like the Masoli from last year but he is getting better every game. So far I dont think he has lived up to the expectations that Ole Miss fans had but those were unreasonable to begin with. In the past 3 months he has had to move across the country, learn a whole new offense/playbook, get to know his teamates and try to develop some chemistry with his receivers, and work on his graduate degree as well. When you take all that into consideration, I think he's done about as well as anyone could expect. Tomorrow night will be a good test to see how far he's come and if this experiment is gonna ultimately be considered a success. This is a pivotal game in their season and Masoli is either gonna take over and lead their team to a winning season with a bowl bid or hes gonna be considered another Brent Schaeffer. :0corn
