That's a great overview of the multiple problems we all now face as "under citizens" in the election process. It's a travesty, IMO - so many good examples by Hartmann, who is a pretty constitutionally savvy historian.

Yes, it's an excellent overview, Chad.

The "Revolving Door" is particularly disturbing... During the last Congress, 60 former lobbyists worked in high-level staff positions on Capitol Hill and under the current Congress, that number has more than doubled to 128 former lobbyists now working as top level advisors to mostly Republican members of Congress.

IMO, Citizens United will prove to be the most damaging decision the Supreme Court has ever made. It MUST be amended and in the coming years, we WILL see a grassroots movement to do just that. But the onus is on ALL of us to contact our Representatives in Washington and let them know how we feel.
