GAME NOTES: The Baylor Bears gun for their third straight win today, as they host the Missouri Tigers in Big 12 action at the Ferrell Center in Waco. After suffering four losses in a row, the Bears have gotten back on track with two straight victories. On Wednesday, Baylor defeated Colorado, 68-57, as it won in Boulder for the first time in almost 57 years. The triumph pushed the Bears back over .500 in league play at 7-6 and gave the program their first 19-win campaign since 2000-01. As for Missouri, it enters the tilt on a down note, dropping a narrow 75-73 decision to Oklahoma State on Tuesday. It was the second loss in three games by the Tigers, who slipped to 15-13 overall and 5-8 in conference play. Missouri owns a 10-8 edge in the head-to-head series with Baylor, but the Bears have won two of the last three meetings.

Byron Eaton converted a shot with 1.7 seconds left in the game, sending Missouri to a 75-73 loss to Oklahoma State on Tuesday. It was certainly a tough way to lose for Missouri, which shot 49.1 percent from the floor, but made just seven three-pointers compared to 14 by Oklahoma State. Leon Lyons guided the team in defeat with a double-double of 27 points and 18 rebounds. It was quite an effort by Lyons, who is netting a team-high 12.6 ppg and grabbing 5.1 rpg for the season. DeMarre Carroll leads the squad in rebounding with 6.6 rpg and he ranks second in scoring at 12.4 ppg, while Keon Lawrence chips in with 11.0 ppg. Missouri, as a team, is scoring a solid 77.7 ppg behind 46.0 percent shooting from the field.

The Bears dominated the boards, 38-24, and they made 18-of-22 free-throw attempts in a victory at Colorado on Wednesday. Baylor also fared well from behind the arc, going 8-of-17. Kevin Rogers logged a double-double with 24 points and 11 boards to lead the way, while Henry Dugat had 21 points on 5-of-5 shooting from three-point range. Curtis Jerrells though, was limited to just five points, but despite that effort, he still leads the Bears in scoring (15.3 ppg) as well as assists (3.6 apg) for the season. Rogers puts forth 12.9 ppg and he is the team's leading rebounder with 8.5 rpg. LaceDarius Dunn chips in with 12.6 ppg off the bench, while Dugat contributes 12.0 ppg and 4.0 rpg. Overall, Baylor has done a good job at the offensive end of the court, posting a healthy 81.2 ppg courtesy of 46.0 percent shooting from the floor.

Baylor has a few more options than Missouri and that, along with its home crowd support, should give the Bears enough to earn the win today

:00hour I see a 10 point victory and a dsappointed Tiger nation!!!:142smilie
