Taoist, this place is apparently only about five miles from my office but I have never seen or heard of it. I checked out their website and have to admit that I was surprised at the size of their operation.

I'll drive by tomorrow at lunch and check it out for you.

Thanks, Judge. I was looking for a "hometown" opinion.... I would really appreciate it.

Anyone else that's had any dealings with this outfit?

edit: p.s. Certainly, you will be forced to buy me a beer if I actually buy one of their vehicles because I'll fly down to get it and drive back...from Texas to Tennessee. It won't be the first time a Judge and an attorney bought each other drinks. ;)

Taoist,
I stopped by Texas Auto Direct yesterday afternoon and have to say that I was fairly impressed. Nice facility with a large inventory and a little research shows that they sell over $70 Million worth of vehicles per year as I'm sure you have seen on their website.

I don't see any reason to believe that this is anything other than an established and reputable company.

Here is a link to their EBay Review page: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=texas_direct

If you purchase a car from these guys, be sure to let me know when you come to town. :mj06:

Thanks, Judge! I have a client here that runs a car lot that says he can go to the auctions and get me exactly what I want for $2-3k less than they are selling their cars on eBay...for a minimal $500 fee.

If he's blowing smoke, I will be seriously looking at this outfit and if I do end up buying from them, I will definitely be in touch.

Thanks again for taking the time.
