Dodgers -200 This is a play against Hernandez more then it is on the Dodgers. Hernandez is 4-12 over the last 3 years in April. Last year her was 1-4 against the Dodgers with a 6.10 ERA. He spent most of the spring getting shelled. Brown on the other hand is one of the most overrated pitchers in the game IMHO. Even so Hernandez is too much a liability in my mind.
Detroit ?140. Going with Detroit only because I like Weaver. When he is on he is tough. Tampa Bay going with Sturtze. Keep him in mind over the year. He may be their best pitcher, and he could bring a lot of value down the road. Detroit showed sum spunk during the spring. Tampa Bay showed nothing.
Florida +120. How many times during the year will you be able to get +120 with a team that may have one of the top 5 pitching staffs in the National Leauge and your playing Montreal. I?m taking Florida for that reason only. How?s that for cappin?
Cleveland -105. CC Sabathia was 17-5 last year as a rookie. In fact he won 10 out of his last 12. A Left hander with a 96 MPH fastball and a curve ball that breaks outside on right handed hitters. The Angels were off balance against Colon and now they will see the same thing but from the left side.
