Yesterday was one of those days. Florida up 6-1 going intothe 8th and loses 7-6. Montreal scoring 3 runs with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th. Tamba bay scoring 4 runs with 2 outs in the 8th to beat Detroit. Tough day.

Wednesday:

Florida -105. Call me nuts but I am going with the Marlins again. Burnett may become one of the better pitchers on the Marlins staff. Armas Jr. is 0-6 against Florida with an ERA of over 7 against them. He is 0-4 lifetime in April.

NYM -205 Large chalk in this one. Kip Wells goes for the Pirates. First National League start. Average fast ball. His breaking stuff is not all that good. His lifetime ERA is 5.14, but as a starter it is 5.92. Traschel on the other hand is a slow starter. 1-4 in April last year, 3-8 over the last 3 years. Mets have the bullpen advantage in the late innings when niether pitcher will be around. The Pirates are a bad team with a bad pitcher. The mets should take this one.

Phil +160. Only if Millwood pitches. Phillies have a good young team that should be in the race all year. Millwood hasn't pitched well since 1999. Phillies should knock him all over the park tonight.

Angels -110. Finley is pitching for Cleveland. That should be enough reason. You might want to even go with the run line at -1 1/2 fo +175. If the early games come in, I just might do it.

Good Luck to All

SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) -- Actress Tawny Kitaen, wife of Cleveland Indians pitcher Chuck Finley, was charged Wednesday with spousal abuse and battery for allegedly attacking her husband.

Kitaen was arrested Monday night after arguing with Finley as they drove home from dinner, said Tori Richards, spokeswoman for the Orange County district attorney's office.

The charges were revealed the same day Finley was scheduled to make his season debut against his former team, the Anaheim Angels, for whom he pitched 14 seasons.

Finley was scratched from his start, team spokesman Bart Swain said. Ryan Drese was to start in Finley's place.

A third party called 911 after the couple arrived at their Newport Beach home, Richards said. Police arrested Kitaen after noticing abrasions and scrapes on Finley.

Kitaen, 40, was being held in Orange County Jail on Wednesday. If convicted of the two misdemeanor counts, she faces up to a year in jail and a $6,000 fine.

A judge issued a restraining order against Kitaen, ordering her to have no contact with Finley.

He was driving Monday night when the couple began arguing, and Kitaen kicked him with her high-heeled shoes, Richards said.

"She kicked him in the thigh, in the leg, in the arm, she grabbed his ear and twisted it," Richards said. "At one point, her high-heel shoe was on top of his foot pressing the accelerator to the ground."

Kitaen, whose real name is Julie, and Finley were married in 1997. They have two daughters.

Kitaen is best known for her role in the 1984 Tom Hanks movie "Bachelor Party." She's also appeared in such TV shows as "Seinfeld," "Married ... with Children," and "The Howard Stern Show."

She was previously married to David Coverdale, lead singer for the British heavy metal band Whitesnake.
