Braves under 8.5 -120
The Braves' line-up is once again injury plagued. They put up quite a few runs yesterday but I do not see that continuing. They have one of their better pitchers going today in Ramirez. In his last three he has pitched 23 innings giving up just 16 hits while carrying an outstanding whip of 0.99 and an era of 1.54. The Braves have also gone under in the last three games he has pitched. For the Phillies, Milton has not pitched quite as well so far this year but he should find the Braves depleted line-up more to his liking. This should be a low scoring game.
Brewers -111
Santos has pitched well for the Brewers on the season carrying a 3.90 era and a record of 2-1. He has pitched 30 innings and given up just 28 hits. The Brewers as a team have played very good ball. They are 25-22 on the season and +7.30 in money won. They are 14-11 at home and today they face a team who has a pitcher in Valdez on the mound who has really struggled as of late. In his last three games he has pitched 15 innings giving up 26 hits while carrying a whip of 2.00 and an era 8.40. I look for the Brewers to get the win here.
Cardinals under 9.5 even
We have two decent pitchers going in this one with Morris and Redding. Morris has a 1.22 whip and an era of 3.80 and the team has gone under 2 of their last 3 with him on the mound. Redding has pitched well himself in his last three carrying a whip of 1.22 and a very good era of 2.50. These teams in recent history have followed the pattern of going over one game and under the next and with two good pitchers on the mound today I look for that to continue.
Mets under 7 -105
Steve Trachsel has been outstanding all year long and in his last three he has simply been phenomenal. He is carrying a whip of 1.07 and an era of 1.37. Beckett has had his problems in his last three. For the season he has a whip of 1.14 and an era of 3.95 and will be facing a Mets' team who hasn't exactly shined on the year from an offensive standpoint and will be without one of their big hitters today in Cliff Floyd. The Mets have gone under 4 of their last 5 games while the Marlins have gone under all 5 times in their last 5 games. In these two teams last 9 meetings the under has prevailed 7-2.
Giants under 7 -120
We have two fine pitchers going today in Kennedy and Schmidt. When Kennedy has been on the mound this year the under has come in 7 out of 10 times and for Schmidt 5 of 7 times. The last 7 times these two teams have hooked up the under has prevailed 6 of 7 times.
