Here is what I have going for today:
Play: St. Louis Cardinals (Hermanson)
Line: +130
Opponent: Chicago Cubs (Lieber)
I know Lieber has been putting up some real nice outings lately. But, I love the value of +130 when the Cards have the better offense and a quality starter on the mound. Only worry I have is that the Cards bullpen has been worked quite a bit lately, but I still like the number.
Play: Colorado Rockies (Hampton)
Line: -152
Opponent: Houston Astros (Miller)
Yes the line is quite high. That being said, the Rockies are hitting right handed pitchers at home close to .375 this season. Hampton is a ground ball pitcher which is needed at Coors, while the Astros closer, Wagner, is not available due to injury.
Play: SF Giants (Hernandez)
Line: -140
Opponent: SD Padres (Serrano)
Once again the line is a touch high, but I believe there is value to be had. The last two starts Livan Hernandez has had he struggled the first three innings vs. the Rockies and D-Bax and then settled down quite well. SD kicks the ball around on defense with the best of them. Scoring 38 errors in the last 30 days to lead the majors. Too much offense + home field + better defense + better starter = decided advantage for the Giants at home.
Play: Clev. Indians (Wright)
Line: -114
Opponents: MN Twins (Romero)
First I wish I would have waited to play this one until now instead of taking the overnight line, it has dropped to -108 in some spots. I like Cleveland's fire power on offense vs. Romero. Plus Wright has proven he can throw again. Especially coming off last nights loss I will play the Tribe.
Good luck to all,
'Happy
