Not as great as I expected Thought I'd hit 2 at least. Reds hows pathetic? Open up a new ballpark, your fans pay these ridiculouse prices for tickets to come see a new ballpark and their favorite team win. Instead all they got was a $3.50 hotdog and a screaming little kid in their ear yelling REDS SUCK I WANNA GO HOME!. How pathetic! Well now the season will actually start to take shape instead of all this opening day Crap, where teams can't even record 1 win! Some good lines today and good games should do better today. I do have Direct TV and was able to catch at least 5-10 minutes of every game and saw how teams play. Now I have a better idea of which way there going!

D'Backs(1-2)(Away since 01'- 136)@ Rockies(1-2)(Home Record-146)
B. H Kim(R) vs S. Chacon(R)
Night Games record since 97'
D'Backs 316/265-Rockies281/325
Weather: Mostly cloudy. Winds blowing from left to right field at 10-20 m.p.h. Game-time temperature: Near 45.

What exactly are the chances of a Rockies game in Coors Field going UNDER 10 Points combined between two teams? Your probably thinking it's almost impossible, the team must suck if they can't score at least 5 runs. Either that or an awesome pitcher. Shawn Chacon in his first home start last season held a pretty good Houston team to 1 run and 5 hits in 6 1/3 innings in what resulted in a Rockies victory. Byung Hyun Kim will take the ball for his first start since 2000 season. Kim looks to impress the D'backs today to hold on to the #4 spot in the rotation. Kim is 3-2 lifetime against Colorado. Kim's last start in 2000 resulted in his lasting 2/ 1/3 innings allowing 4 runs on 4 hits. Shawn Chacon finished w/ a 5-11 record last year with a 5.73 ERA. He is 0-3 lifetime against Arizona. D'backs went 14-5 against colorado last season, they have won 18 of the last 23 meetings. If the D'Backs bats are gonna get this team into contention this year then the bats must come alive today. As Far as GREAT Pitching goes, YEAH RIGHT! I'm willing to give an underestimated to Kim and a Good pitcher to Chacon. I won't put anything on either but will take the OVER, as Helton, Walker, Gonzalez, and some other lefties in the lineups should have good games w/ the wind blowing from Left to right field and not leaving both pitchers out there to deal with the 45 degree temp trying to stay warm.

Prediction - Rockies 11- D'Backs 8

Dodgers(2-2) @ Padres(1-3)
D. Dreifort(R) vs C. Condrey(R)
Night Games Record since 97'
LA-366/335 Padres-313/345

Weather: Partly cloudy. Winds blowing out to right field at 10-20 m.p.h. Game-time temperature: Around 60.

Do winds really matter in California? 10-20 MPH isn't that bad but could be for the padres who showed some Life yesterday. Or for LA who just decided to fade. Darren Dreifort will take the hill tonight for LA trying to help LA rebound from a loss to Pads last night. Dreifort returns from a second Tommy John surgery from 2001 and knee surgery from 2002 which ended his season. He is 4-7 w/ a 5.13ERA from last year. He has never beaten the Pads holding an 0-7 record in 16 appearences. Clay Condrey comes into todays game who made his 2003 appearence against the Giants on opening day. He did manage to pitch the 8th scoreless until Santiago and Snow delivered back 2 back Homers giving him the loss Dodgers will have Moto back today for relief. Padres lost 5 in a row to LA and since has won 2 in a row. Padres bats were silent for 3 games and not only that during Spring training. Can one game mean the difference? I doubt it just feel LA had a bad day. In any Event SD just in case.

Prediction - LA 5 SD 4
Play-SD +1.5 -115

Tigers(0-3) @ White Sox(0-3)
N. Cornejo(R) vs E. Loaiza(R)
Weather: Partly cloudy with a 60-percent chance of rain. Winds blowing out to right field at 15-25 m.p.h. Game-time temperature: Near 50.

Two teams who were swept during an opening season in my standards very pathetic, however one team will have a win tonight. DETROIT so far has been doing GREAT! They havn't lost their first 11. Chi Sox did contend w/ a what seems to be a fisty looking KC team this year, how long will that last, anybodys' guess. Sox however do have the offense at the plate and should be able to put more runs on the board than Minny did. KC did however outscore them 20-10. Loaiza will pitch tonight for the WSOX, he was with the Jays last year finishing 9-0 with a 5.71 ERA in 25 starts. He surrendered 96 runs over 151/ 1/3 innings pitched. Loaiza holds a 6-2 record against the Tigers having a 3.16ERA. He deated them last year once with a 2.46ERA andallowed nine hits and two runs over 2 1/3 innings. Detroit hopes that Nate Cornejo can bring them out of the 3 game skid. He is 23 years old and spent half of the season between the majors and minors. He went 1-5 with a 5.04ERA in 9 starts for detroit last season. The WSox have beaten Cornejo he has a 1-2 record and a 9.00ERA. Chicago scored 6 runs in 2 1/3 innings last season against ChiSOX. Chicago owns the Tigers by posting a 34-16 record over 3 years. However The Sox aren't have lost 8 games at home out of 19 versus the Tigers. Don't care how good Tigers have done against the Sox. Sox is more due for a win over the Tigers.

T. Ohka(R) vs D. Cone(R)
Weather: Mostly cloudy with a 50-percent chance of rain. Winds blowing in from right field at 10-20 m.p.h. Game-time temperature: Around 50.

Considering I live in NY it's pretty Nippy out there. I wouldn't wanna hit a 95 MPH Baseball let alone throw one right now. It looks like it's gonna rain any minute. I'm supposed to be at the game tonight but don't know if i'll go unless it clears up some. Anyhow Cone comes back tonight and watching all his games in Spring, even with some Solid starts he did look shaky at times. Cone has the ability to either shut down the undefeated Spos or let them knock them around a little. Which ever way it goes I don't see the Mets scoring alot to catch up let alone the Offense coming through. Last year it was "It's only the 3rd game" Well the third game lasted pretty long last season cause Mets offense took a year off and maybe looking for two. Expos looked GREAT in Spring and against the Braves. Guerrero comes back and he loves SHEA! Always hits Mets hard. Tomo Ohka althought 0-3 agsint the Mets in 5 starts does have a solid offense to keep him in the game in case of any troubles. As a LIVE OR DIE Mets fans. I just can't give a win here with the way the offense is producing untill I see evidence. However I will play the play that made me alot of money last YEAR....UNDER UNDER UNDER!!! Cold weather, Rain, Mets fans starting to get annoyed w/ the performance efforts, lack of offense and Braves held Expos to 3 yesterday with good pitching. I think can can hold em to 3-4 but i doubt Mets will go over that

Prediction-Expos 4 Mets 3
