Tonight's games and other thoughts:

Laying off the NY/Cleveland game. I like Cleveland, but not as much as I did last night with the veteran ace Sabathia and Wang (not as good on the road) taking the mound. Pettitte has a wealth of experience and should be able to go 6 innings and give up 3 runs or less. Whether or not Carmona can do better remains to be seen? Who knows? Great young pitcher but by far biggest game he has ever pitched, so he could get touched up.

Taking Angels over Sox. People keep saying DiceK is a big game pitcher because of Japan experience, but Escobar has been the better pitcher this year and has pitched in the US for many years. This is his chance to really impress on a national stage. Remember, this guy's name was mentioned as Cy Young candidate for much of the year. Angels will work the count against Dice K and draw walks and steal bases. I like Escobar to go about 7 innings and the bullpen to close out a tight game. Angels are certainly not a come from behind lead so Escobar will have to limit homers and big innings. Escobar has given up only 11 homer this year while DiceK has given up a whopping 25!

Other thoughts: I will be surprised if all 4 series are 2-0 after tonight. Think either Tribe or Angels get it done, or maybe both.

Cubs/D-backs-great start for D-Backs, but I predict Cubs will win the next 2 and force game 5 in Arizona which Webb will likely win.

Rockies will likely sweep.
