YTD: 1-0 (+1 UNIT)
Only found one game I think is worth playing on Monday. But it looks really solid.
CHICAGO CUBS -140 (1 unit)
A little info on this game:
Last year the Cubs just dominated the Reds, winning 13 out of 17 games vs them. This year should be no different, especially this game.
Jon Lieber, who won 20 games last year, has always been ready to go early in the year. The past 3 years in April, he is 8-6 with a very good 3.36 ERA. This year is no different, the guy is ready to pitch......this spring he's 3-0 with a 3.12 ERA.
Lieber pretty much own this Reds lineup. He was a perfect 5-0 vs the Reds last year. The Reds lineup hardly changed at all with the exception of losing Dmitri Young and adding Juan Encarnacion.
The Reds were just 48-76 vs all Righties last year and against Righty starters at home just 12-33
Averaging only 3.9 Runs per game. The funny thing is, the one guy that did hit Right handed pitching well was Dmitri Young, who is a career .297 hitter against right handed pitching. Encarncion is a career .267 hitter vs. righties.
The Cubs were 27-20 vs. Right handed starters on the road last year while averaging around 4.2 runs per game...not bad, and should be better this year with the addition of Moises Alou into a very solid lineup.
Joey Hamilton has pitched very well for the Reds this spring, but remember this guy was just a non-roster invitee to camp.....just tells you how bad the Reds pitching staff might be this year.
Hamilton has struggled in Aprils of the past. The last 3 years going 4-4 with a huge ERA of 6.96
Hamilton faced the Cubs once last year and the Cubs rocked him for 5 earned runs in just 3 innings.
Sean Casey for the Reds will probably play, but might not be 100%, he's been nursing a sore back of late.
Good Luck in all your plays
