If you're planning on playing LA, you might wanna get it in early. Think the line might move a bit.

Good luck in all your plays today.

Thanks Easy Money.

Not much time, but I do wanna point out a couple of things that are weighing in on my LA pick today.

Denny Stark may not have the concentration and focus today in this game. The word is that he's going to be demoted when Shawn Chacon comes off the DL this week. And if you think this will help Stark try to pitch better today to prove he should stay, forget it.

When you have rookies or young pitchers with distractions on their mind, a lot of times you see them struggle. Their mental focus is just not there, and I can see it coming with Stark today. An indicator of this is the 3 road games that Stark has pitched in the majors. I use the Home/Away as a good tool to look at pitchers ability to keep their focus and if you look at Starks 3 games on the road, he has pitched 22 innings and gave up 28 runs(25 earned) and has a 10.23 ERA. This includes last start at the pitcher friendly Qualcomm Stadium where he gave up 8 runs (6 earned) and walked a whopping 7 batters in just 5.1 innings.

The game is home today, but the distractions are there with his probable demotion. He will also be facing a Dodger team that has averaged 7.4 runs per game at Coors the past 9 games(this season and last).

Also, bettors might wanna be careful if playing the Under in this game.....seems like it could be a bit low considering the situations.

actually, i've convinced myself that the over 9- is a solid play tonight in denver. both pitchers have been in decent form but are due for an off night. with perez, you can feel that he is due for another road shellacking like he took in phoenix a few days ago. rockies handle lefties pretty well at coors and have been fairly consistent with the sticks lately, even on the road. like you said, hard to imagine that starks is going to be very focused tonight with his demotion impending. dodgers' offense has been very consistent of late..

also, notice how far the number has come down at coors since the beginning of the season, in response to the string of unders and the "humidor" publicity. imo, the pendulum has swung a little too far. rockies 10-19 to the under at home, but are 15-14 over tonight's number of 9-, and have averaged 10 rpg at coors this year.

no humidor needed tonight as rain likely.

loophole.....good insight. Have to agree with you, if you're playing the total in this one, the 'Over' is the way to go.

Hope all is going well with you and best of luck today :)
