Sides: 7-5 (+0.5 UNIT)
Totals: 1-2 (-1.4 UNITS)

Playing 4 games today:

PHILADELPHIA -125 (1 UNIT)

ST. LOUIS -115 (1 UNIT)
OVER 9 DETROIT -115 (1 UNIT)

May also add the Runline on Arizona later. Will post if I do play it.

Some of the angles I like in these games:

In the Philly-Florida game. My 1st lean was towards Florida with their great young pitcher Josh Beckett. Beckett is one of Florida's best young prospects and gotta feel he's gonna be on a pitch count in this game, which is crucial, because we all know how the Marlins bullpen is this year.

Last year Beckett started 4 games and they only let him go 6 innings in each of those.

Beckett is also on the road. There should be plenty of loud fans at Philly. This kid is young and the possibilty of getting rattled is present.
Beckett has made 2 career starts on the road and is 0-2.

What really makes this game interesting is HOME PLATE UMP JERRY CRAWFORD . Although his record last year indicated no advantage for the home team, but rather for the road team, I found an interesting note on him. Crawford was born in Philly, and even resides in the town of Havertown, which is less than 10 miles from Philly. Could be key in this game!

The Arizona game is interesting. I don't like laying this heavy of chalk, but I feel there's value in even this line.

Home plate Ump Mike Reilly, has a pretty tight strikezone. This fact really shouldn't hurt Johnson in this game due to how freeswinging the Brewers are.

On the other hand, pitching for the Brewers is a kid named Nick Nuegebauer. This kid is almost like a righthanded unpolished Nolan Ryan or a Righty version of an unpolished Randy Johnson. He's a big strikeout pitcher, but has one big problem....NO CONTROL.

Nuegebauer, who's idol is Nolan Ryan, will be very nervous today going against the likes of Randy Johnson. He has only 6 Innings in the Majors and although he struck out 11 in those innings, he's also walked 6 and given up 6 hits.

In the minors, it was no different, he has walked 7 or more several times in games, and gotta feel he will get no help from home plate Ump Reilly.

To make things worse, He has only 5.2 Innings of work in Spring Training games. In those innings he's walked 6, also had an ERA of 7.94

Arizona should have plenty of runners on today.
May add the runline later.

St. Louis game....Matt Morris, who won 22 games last year, picked up right where he left off. He notched a win in his first start this year. Home Plate Ump Tim McClelland is know for a somewhat tight strikezone and this will benefit Morris.

Morris walked just 54 batters in 216 Innings last year, while Carlos Hernandez, who only has 3 starts in the Majors does not have that kind of control. Even in AA in the Minors, he walked 69 in 139 Innings. This spring he's walked 13 in 22.1 Innings.

St. Louis should have runners on all night.

As far as the Over in the Cleveland-Detroit game goes:

First of all, these 2 clubs should have lots of runners this whole game.

Cornijo, pitching for the Tigers, has no control. Last year he walked 28 in only 42.2 Innings pitched and this spring training was just horrible: 0-3 6.32 ERA, allowing 25 Hits and 6 Walks in just 15.2 Innings.

Colon, who's pitching for the Tribe may not have the best control in this game either. Don't let the nationally televised game on Easter fool ya.

Colon is just horrible during Day Games. The Past 3 years in Day games, Colon has walked 72 batters in just 125 innings pitched. Colon is a night person and the rumors have it that he likes to do the night scene and thus the difference in his Day and Night pitching.

Versus the Tigers, even though he was 3-1 against them last year, he did allow an average of over 13.8 Runnners to reach base per nine innings against him in those games. In 26 innings pitched vs the Tigers, he allowed 30 hits and walked 10.

Home Plate Ump Marty Foster has a somewhat tight strikezone and these two clubs should have plenty of runners on the whole game.

If playing Philly, you may want to wait, as I think the public will be on Florida today. Might be able to get a little extra value the longer you wait on this one.

On the course!
Very nice stuff! That kind of post is apreciated.

Although I like the DBacks, I can't recommend laying that kinda chedder. I think this game will be a low scoring game, and I would not touch that -1'
