Playing 2 games today:
TORONTO +140 (1 UNIT)
UNDER 8.5 PITTSBURGH -130 (1 UNIT)
I was just about ready to play the UNDER in the Florida-Mets game until I checked the pitch counts. Burnett has really been overused this season and his last 2 starts may be a good indicator of the tired arm. He has given up 10 earned runs in 11.2 innings. Also, D'Amico in his last 2 starts has thrown 113 and 118 pitches, which is scaring me as well due to past history of arm and shoulder problems. All other factors, including Eddings as home ump pointed to the Under, but this is just something to consider if anyone's playing the Total in this game.
Also, just a quick note on one of many of my angles in the Toronto-Cleveland game, is Colon's arm. Colon has been a workhorse all season, but was stretched maybe a bit further last start in the very cold weather. That last game, he threw 121 pitches, but what's significant is the fact that the temperature was in the low 40's and dipped into the 30's towards the end of the game. After that game, Colon has stated that his elbow is bothering him...."In 1995, I had bone chips in my elbow. That's how it feels now" .
Good luck in all your plays today.
