72-42-3
+132 units (w/o juice)
plays 1-10units
7-1 week 11

Im considering hanging it up for the season and quiting while im ahead..

I needed to get to the +120 unit mark to make my goal of 100units w/ juice.. i told myself if i made my goal i would cash out..

i didnt expect to make it with 6weeks left in the season but i feel ive got to be smart..
no sense in pushing my luck?? right?

the problem is i love to gamble on football!!
baseball and basketball are my off seasons.. so ill be taking a break soon anyway??

but the last thing i want to do is blow my hard earned $$$$ simply b/c i want action:mad:

so tonight could be my last play for the season..

anyway..

2 plays for tonight..
write ups to come..
ill be back

good luck :)

You have alot of knowledge and I always look forward to what you bring to this forum. If you decide to hang it up, I want yo say Thank You for letting me ride your coattail. I appreciate you a bunch

hey Gibber, Hang it up and don't look back. OR, keep going and don't look back. Either way don't look back. You have had 1 hell of a season so far and all I can say is "GD'it why didn't I follow him in NFL?":D Congrats again and it has been fun watching you work regardless.

thanks for the well wishes guys..

its not that im burned out.. hell im haveing a blast on Sundays!

its that i want to protect my bankroll..
ive blown winning seasons before and i dont want to do it again..

i dont care what anyone says but i think capping is about 70% talent and 30% luck... maybe more

its only a matter of time till my luck runs out and i start catching some bad breaks..

if i continue to play i might just lower my unit size dramatically:shrug:

thanks guys

GOOD LUCK:D

Gibber, I think you should just lower your wager size and play just for action. It's not much fun to just sit on the sidelines and watch. Set a unit size and stick to it. Good Luck. Just my opinion.

thanks for the advice boilermaker, thats probably what ill do..

tonight

under 43

Chicago has no real Ofensive threat..Both QBs are hurt. while the Rams are giving up only about 1 TD pass per game..

Bears also need to keep the Greatest show on Turf off the field..

looking for lots of A. Thomas and short high percentage passes..

Rams will be without Faulk..enough said..
this leaves Chicago free to put lots of pressure on Bulger..
Bulger has been playing great but w/ out the threat of a run game, its time for a bit of a let down..

under 43 7units

good luck:D

Did you ever think that maybe you are on a roll, using exactly the right methodology for handicapping this year's NFL football?

I think you should take your profits and pocket them. Start a new season right now, using a new original bank roll and set a new goal!

Whatever you decide, good luck. You can continue to post winners for us even if you don't play them yourself.... :D

What heleanth said.

Gib, see you over in the College hoops forum once basketball starts heating up. Those late night threads were a lot of fun.

Who can forget Teddy KGB's MOJO pics? :)

First let me say that I also love to bet football, I like to read about it before the games are played. I love to bet the games and like to read about them after they have been played. I don't bet a lot of money on every game because I've learned that the way I play I can't win enough to get excited but I can lose enough to get depressed. I guess what I'm trying to say is don't stop something you enjoy if you can controle it, just lighten up on the amount of your bets. I miss the entire package when the season ends. When your good at something like you are you will miss all the action and the enjoyment of winning. The money to me is not the most important thing. The fact that you can win and stay ahead of the man is really where it's at. So do what you enjoy whatever happens in the end the money won't matter. Good Luck on whatever you decide to do. Joe

i dont understand the mindset of stopping to play??? You are up big.. JUST CASH OUT YOUR 120 UNITS... and play with the man's money... what is wrong with that???

You are doing the right thing by calling it quits. If you pre-determined that figure before you started, then you should stick with it. These are the kind of tough decisions that seperate the winners from the losers in this game.. Good luck

some guys in here bet thousands a game.. me im small time

1unit for me is $55 in NFL

and $35 in NCAA

most of my plays are 4units or more so my avarage is about 250 to 275 a game..

so we arent talking alot of money.. but to me its alot.
