Kansas City area for who knows how long....
2-1 last posting (sat) but still bit in negative. will update later...

Milk +190

Pitt +162

KC +147

can't ignore how Sheets pitches vs Cubs, and Clements much poorer record vs Milk.

Pitt is better on road and let's hope Miller still struggles.

KC hasn't lost at home yet, and only reason Lowe won his last start vs them was due to that KC bullpen. But the Boston pen is usually more reliable in that regard..

I almost took Detroit! with Cornejo giving up just 5 er in last 26 innings....

any thoughts?

good luck to all!

Terryray,

As a predominant dog player, having to adjust to favorites in the month of April (not unusual), I would stick with pairing up dogs in the +140 to +160 price range.

If you really like all three, definitely go for it. I have at times, but prefer taking your best two, and you should get the split. If you like five, go with your best four.

You'll be surprised how many splits you get, with an occasional sweep, and an occasional shut out. It requires alot of patience and money mangement.

But a small profit each week works for me.

Hope we meet up again sometime!

With you on the Brewers play, but im taking the +1.5

Sheets has owned the cubs as of late, and like i always say, the cubs dont play well in night games.

good luck terry ray

its funny, terryray, but i'm like kcwolf in that i like to play my dogs in pairs thinking that, if i'm as smart as i would like to think i am, i should manage no worse than a split. for me tonight its brewers and royals. see ie's thread re why i don't care for the pirates tonight. good luck in all your play.

Would like to add one more comment: it takes just as much work to find a favorite that wins as a dog. Just make sure you have calculated your winning % properly.

Just a stupid way of saying what IE has already pointed out.

thanks fellows!

thanks fellows!

yup, I've noticed that trying for splits usually works better on these dogs, day to day.

but my capping came out with all three just as good (Detroit most of all, but they have burned me bad!). And I figured if I'm in it for the long haul, might as well just go with all three. Some days sweep, some loose all, but in the end should come out ahead.

KC, you sure are right about how it takes as much work 'capping for faves as dogs! Learning that the hard way. I take a few faves in a parlay---looking over one in particular real hard I'm not sure about--then it blows up. And I'm thinking, why didn't I try opponent as a huge dog, if the fave caused me that much time and worry....and do hope to see you and everyone else in LV again next year!

good luck everyone.
