Think the Braves are favored by rep. here. There's is no way based on season series they should be (FLA 7-5), and recent pitching should really favor FLA.
Burkett might be starting to feel his age 0-3 16.1IP 8.27 ERA 18.2MBA lst 3 and 0-2 4.15 ERA vs. FLA. Penny 1-2 20IP 2.25 ERA 10.4MBA and 0-0 13IP 2.77 ERA vs. ATL. Both 'pens have been less than average, ATL having the worst of it, should see more of ATL 'pen based on Burkett's recent outings (avg. 5.2IP lst 4 starts). That should bode well for FLA. FLA is one team still playing everyday despite being out of it and ATL is one of the teams they like to beat. I'll take the gift price.
CHC (WoodMcKnight) -200
Hate the price, but they look to be the very right side. Wood has been very solid of late, 2-0 21IP 1.29 ERA 6MBA and 0-0 19IP 2.37 ERA vs. PIT. CHC are also 8-2 vs. PIT in the season series. McKnight hasn't been so consistent 18IP 5.00 ERA 13MBA lst 3 (6IP, 9H, 5ER in last start) hasn't faced CHC yet this season, that might be one drawback for CHC. Should see less 'pen exposure from CHC if Wood pitches to form. Think the series moves to 9-2 with this pitching matchup.
