In interleague series 1 we only had 2 days that we knew the umps. WLA went a respectable 12-7. I went 9-5 with a 2-2 day yesterday. It seemed to me that most of the games featured neutral umps (home/road) with the exception of my fav homer, John Hirshbeck who proceded to let Sea lose 5-1. I look for the umps to have more influence in the out-comes of the games this time around. Trying to stick with the home teams but the ones I like today are such big fav that I can't play them.

There's only one other game that I feel is worth a shot without knowing the ump. Vazquez has made me money for the past two years and is always worth going with. The only weakness today might be the bullpen but with Vazquez you will get 7+ solid innings and maybe the bp won't be a factor. In their last 30 games Mon is ave 3+ runs a game on the road even tho their road record don't look very good. Det at home is ave 3 runs a game but have been playing weaker comp. Here's the real kicker. Mon has played Phil 6 times this year and won 4. Swept them at home. Phil just swept Det at Det. Det only ave 2 runs a game. Vazuez should be able to handle Det.

Meaningless stat of the decade........Mon has beaten Det every game they have ever played. Three game home stand in 1997. Could it be payback. I hope not.

Just decided to go with Oak. Been looking at this game all day and couldn't figure if I could trust Lidle or not. Here's what made me decide to try it. First, Oak has been playing pretty good here lately and just swept Hou. Mil on the other hand looks pretty fair until you take SD and CC out of the picture. 1-15 in their last 30 dont look too good. Their road record is a pathetic 8-22 and 5 of those wins are against guess who. Even tho both CC (Sea) and SD (Tam) won their series last week 2-1, Oak has faired well against both those teams. Beat Tam 6 out of 7 this year. The big drawback on going on Oak was Quevedo until I noticed a couple of things. Take CC and SD out of the picture and he is ave 4 runs a game. Here's what I like, Hou lit him up for 8 runs in 3 innings. And he was also got to early by Stl and Cinn. Mil is coming off getting swept by that NL power Pitt (30-32) so I feel that Mil will have to have a lot of help from the ump tonight to pull this one off.

Balt o 9'
Oak -110

Good luck everyone
