Happy Birthday to Dave Parker (the Pirates 1978 MVP, not the other 213) and Donald Duck
(slim fuckin' pickin's today...I mean for birthdays...no, it's not Slim's)
--Pit's O's been coming to life including 7-day OPS at .780 while scoring 6.5 per game; Jackson
hasn't had a disaster start since May 23rd at the Padres--3 starts ago--so could be due; Morton
keeps the ball on the ground, at least, and been quite tolerable since the start of May
--Martinez looks out of his league at this level while T.J. induces lots of grounders; to be truthful,
somebody talked me into this one and I wouldn't bet the House on it
--I trust Richards more than Chavez as the latter has been a little cold, which I've been expecting
for some time now; Angels stayed put at home while a's trekked back to California from the far
East--Japan or Baltimore or something--for whatever that's worth; on the down side, Chavez has
one solid vs this season while Richards was rocked in both his meetings vs this season, including
start before last, not to mention the Angels bullpen being way more untrustworthy
--Jays offense is due to score more than zero but middle-relief still blows chunks; go-go gadget
