Love getting all these points with a UNC-G team that I can see winning outright tonight at Penn State. This is a Nittany Lion team that is without its best player, Geary Claxton, who is out with a broken pinkie. Coach Ed DeChellis has a club that's not very big and is dealing with other injury issues, too. Oh, and did I mention that they lost an exhibition game against Shippensburg? Well, they did. The Spartans lost just one senior from last year's team and returned eight players who started at one time or another last year nd all played extensive minutes against a tough schedule. UNC-G blew a nice lead and fell in overtime at Marshall Saturday. They have two all-conference players in indside beast Kyle Hines (38 points and 12 rebounds Saturday) and guard Ricky Hickman, who quite possible could be the Southern Conference's best pro prospect. Hickman shot terribly Satutrday (2-of-14, including 0-of-6 from beyond the arc). He'll bounce back and so will the Spartans as they'll easily stay inside this number tonight.
