This line is a reflection of last year's teams, not the current one's. And I think it's a terrible line. Skins have tons of confidence and at least to me, the better overall team. Eagles defensive line is thin, their front seven isn't nearly as good as it was last season. I hear a good deal of talk how Philly has Vincent and Taylor who can shutdown the Skins passing attack...how about Bailey and Smoot shutting down the Eagles receivers who aren't even that good to begin with? Vincent and Taylor are only two players, Philly is going to have to cover more than two receivers..their secondary depth has a couple of rookies and inexperienced players. Too much has been made regarding how Spurrier might not use Stephen Davis...if you look back over recent history, Spurrier's offense has been much more balanced than people realize. He runs the ball and when his teams run effectively, they win. Davis' status is a bit of a concern, hopefully he can go the entire game. McNabb is the X-factor, but I think the Skins defense is good and quick enough to contain him. Looking over their meeting the past few seasons, McNabb and the Philly offense have not gone over 300 yards of total offense against Washington, totaling an 8 game streak...of course this is a different coaching staff and the Skins D has new players, but I think it's safe to say this current defense is composed of better players and a better defensive coaching staff.
Good luck!
