MLB: 484-450 +101.5 units
Fav: 160-128 - 2.1 units
Dog: 149-189 + 28.3 units
Ovs: 98-81 + 40.2 units
Uns: 77-52 + 35.1 units

Gave this for three winners so far:

NYC Relief: 10 units
Red Cross: 5 units
United Way: 5 units

Help the cause, as all my profits will go to New York City Relief. No scam here, you have known me via the internet to long.

Limited games tomorrow, so give your best effort to help our families of those downfallen heroes.

I'll personally give another 10 units, win or lose.

I'd be ashamed to not here from our best cappers. Let's win for America's heroes!

I'm placing 5 unit plays on the three best you come up with. Come on folks! The pressure is on to help me contribute 15 units to a very good cause!

I'll be back late morning to make my on contributions/rebuttals to make sure we go 3-0, or whatever else we think will we can send to New York City.

The top three I see so far would be:

Montreal
Mets
Cards

I agree with Raymond's assesment though that tomorrow should be a day for 'small' plays. Perhaps you should see how tomorrow plays out before putting the big dough on the line for the relief fund.

One thing's for sure, whatever the outcome of the games, you are already a winner.

Thanks for being the first to reply TIME TO MAKE.

Your picks have been marked down. Thank you sir!

I decided to start capping early, making sure we can come up with a 3-0 Monday. This is serious folks. Please join in with any info you have. THIS IS FOR CHARITY!!!!!

Bear with me folks, as I make brief comments on every game. I'm going to stay up til I get through every game. 3-0 tomorrow is the goal for charity!

NYY/TB No line.

The line should be rather high if Mussina starts for New York. My early lean favors laying the big number on Mussina. Not sure it is worth it though, considering the Yanks large lead. Wouldn't play against though.

OV/UN Waiting til tomorrow.

Sorry, but I'm going to wear you out reading about each game on a new thread.

On a vendetive to find a 3-0 for a worthy cause.

Baseball reschedules Monday's Yankees-Devil Rays game

September 14, 2001

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) -- The New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Devil Rays won't resume the season as scheduled on Monday night.

Major league baseball on Friday postponed what would have been the last game of a four-game series between the teams at Tropicana Field. The game will be made up Oct. 4 in what will be the opening game of a season-ending four-game series between the teams.

Instead, the Yankees will begin a three-game series in Chicago and the Devil Rays will start a three-game series at Boston on Tuesday.

Tried hard to find three that I would lean to.

1) St.LOO
St.loo still in the wildcard, Milwaukee is not.

2) Arizona/Colorado OVER 10.5
Not picking the side because everyone looks like CY Young when they pitch against RANDY. Liking the OVER better because Arizona hits lefties well on the road. And Neagle, well...is Neagle.

3) Atlanta/ philly UNDER 7.5
Two good pitchers...and the hitters might not be able to adjust after their lay-off.

good luck to all, and let's win for a good cause.

KCWOLF, good stuff.

Phillies/Bravos UNDER 7' is the first of my three.

In Maddux's L3 starts the Braves have score 8 runs total.
His ERA has been 3.60 for those L3 and LT he is 24-12 vs Philly. TY his ERA is 2.60 against them.

Person's L4 starts have yielded an ERA of 0.86 with 34 Ks in 33.1 IPs. He is 4-0 in those games, has won 5 straight decisions and has one loss in his L17 (!!) starts. His ERA vs Bravos TY is 2.41 with a 1-1 record. Additionally Person 11-2 at home TY and 24-5 over the L3 years. He is 8-1 in his L9 decisions.

Tempting to take the home dog here but going against Cy Maddux is rarely a great play. The UNDER is a better play.

CARDS -170 over Brewers for the second play.

Enough has already been written about this one. I agree that home teams are at a psychological advantage this week.

DODGERS -1' RUNS -130 over Padres is my third.

Brownie's elbow got some much needed rest. Expect a playoff contender to regain focus sooner than a team further back in the standings and Middlebrook is making his first ML start. I usually like to play on new RHPs but not in these circumstances. Brown came off the DL strong and the extra time off has made him stronger. No a pitch count so he could go eight here.
Part of the reason Middlebrook's up is that SD's starting rotation is winless for 12 straight games.

kc,

I love what you are doing. If I had to take three games with the best chance of winning today, I would take:

Montreal
Dbacks
Brewers

Personally, my plays are MIL and PHI. Good luck and remember if you haven't given blood yet, wait a few weeks or a month and give then so that the supply of blood stays high.

Very thankful to all who have replied. Had a few problems at work, so couldn't reply sooner.

With so few games, I was a little over zealous in hoping to find 3 (5unit) plays. I feel a lot more pressure today to produce.

I decided to donate all winnings for the next two days and backing off my original intent of doing it all today with 5 unit plays. Just didn't see enough value to force plays.

I feel, as others, playing away favorites would be a bad idea. Playing against home teams in general would be a bad idea. The Mets may be the exception

I'm not much of a big timber favorite fan either. May add another, but went with these:

PHI un 7.5 4 units
LAD -210 4 units
