Kansas -16 over Iowa ST ******
ISU just got blown out by OU and then blows out Texas..in the Texas win they got open looks all day and had about 4 or 5 drives to the basket for layups.. with Tex Post Simms out everyone thought Cyclones would pound the ball in but they didn't have to...there were so many open jump shots available why pound it in...and even when they did pound it in they scored. Final score 81-52 well erase all that tonite.. KU is one of the best defensive teams in the country..they will contest those jump shots and when they drive to the basket they have a guy with his 1st name Udoke at 7'0 270 pounds post play will be minimal...then there is McCormick who I got to stand next to a few weeks ago... they list him at 6'11 265..I think he's bigger then Doke...he was suspended but think he's back;; so what he stomped someones head... Dotson the pt gd shooting gd is the POY of the B-12...can penetrate and dish,stop on a dime and take a jumper.. Garrett his partner is 6'5.. Ochai is another big gd think depth will hurt this when the big dance starts
KU has an outstanding D and there offense with Datsun and an air craft carrier are way to much for a defense that is not very good.... earlier this yr KU beat ISI at there place 79-53 and Cyclones had Halliburton there superstar.. He is out for the season...think again KU holds this offense to low 50's and KU scores in the high 70's or low 80's
XU -1.5 over Johnnies **
XU cannot lose to the Johnnies who are 3-9 in the Big East..game is at MSG so home court minimized ..Johnnies Heron out for the season XU has lost 4 out of last 6 but 4 of those were to ranked teams... Johnnies had lost a few in a row but came back and knocked off Prov the other day. Marshall does everything for XU... I hate talking about " braketology" and Joe Lunardi but you can kiss the season goodbye if XU loses.. Johnnies are going nowhere.. low scoring game but XU wins this by a few..
