St Marys -8 over Manhattan ****
Mary lost all it starters but has some good talent back from last yr and a whole bunch of Aussies transfers. Naar is the best player out there at the pt...Rahon the BC transfer is solid..they have two good gds...add all the 6'8,6'9,6'10 and 6'11 front line players to Marys team and you have a mismatch.Manhattan lost most of its scoring with Richards and Williams back... Jaspers have to rely on their defense which they do good...but think playing all the way on the left coast,away gym and going against some good gds and big front line..Jaspers are in trouble...
K-State -3 over Columbia **
Lions are a good Ivy team that you can't sleep on...they play that " deliberate" style and drive teams crazy..Lo is really good.. Rosenberg is back and he will help big time...last yr with a losing team the gave mighty Kentucky a scare losing by 10...just think K-St front line is better and more athletic..Foster was thrown off KSU's best player...they need to get some chemistry playing together...Lions already have chemistry on the court and of course in the classroom...close game with two teams playing in Manhattan...think the Manhattan team from the midwest pulls this one out.
USC -9 over Monmouth **
Hawks still celebrating UCLA win....Monmouth is a 3rd-4th place team in the MAAC..Robinson the pt gd is awesome and played in my HS league.Jones is tough...but USC has some good scorers...they have two frosh Meto and Boatright who can score..USC won't be caught by surprise tonight..
Tenn +7 over Ga. Tech **
Miami -10.5 over UL Laf **
UL has the best team in the Sun.. Long can score..balanced attack...but the Canes have some real talent...McCellan and Rodriques are solid gds..big front line...Murphy is suspended tonight..that gives 6'10 Uceda more time..like Larranga as the coach...
JMU +12 over West Vir **
JMU has everyone back.. WV much more talented but think Dukes with their very athletic gds can keep this close..
