Pirates +100 How can the Pirates be a dog in this situation. Kip Wells has pitched extremely well over the last month or so. In his last 5 starts he is 4-1 with an impressive 1.59 ERA. Even more impressive of a stat is that he has not allowed a single home run in those starts. Also the Pirates are 9-2 when Wells starts this year. And for the Expos, they got demolished by the Phils in the last 2 games leaving their bullpen almost worthless for tonights game.

Cubs -130 John Lieber is the main reasojn for this pick. In his last 5 starts he has a 20 to 5 K/BB ratio. The Brewers dont hit the ball particularly well anyway, so not getting any walks doesn't help things for this team. The Brewers are coming off a 3 game sweep of the Padres in San Diego and may be a little tired from the traveling, while the Cubs were already in Milwaukee right after their game in Chicago.

Back with more tomorrow
