The Indiana Pacers look to take a commanding 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven series with the Detroit Pistons tonight in the Eastern Conference Finals. The Pacers won the first matchup of this series on Saturday, 78-74, just failing to cover as 5-point favorites.
Indiana was able to grab the "W" despite shooting under 34% from the field. It marked the second consecutive victory for the Pacers while shooting under 34% from the floor. Remember, Indiana beat the Heat in Miami 73-70 while converting only 32.4% of their shot attempts.
Detroit has now lost four of their last six games, but have covered the spread in each of their last three contests. The defense has been outstanding for the Pistons lately, but their offense is letting them down. Nonetheless, Detroit is 10-3 ATS after holding an opponent to shoot 35% or worse in their previous game.
Ben Wallace guaranteed a victory for the Pistons tonight, but the Sportsbooks are looking the other way.
