i'm going to regret this play, but i went 3-0 yesterday, and i need to lose an nfl play this week to appease the gambling gods. so...
tennessee (+3.5) 1 unit. for one thing, i said i was going to ride the titans (that doesn't quite sound right, does it?) until they drop one to the number. as bad as vince young is, strange things seem to happen when he takes over as the starter. so i gotta play them. looking at this matchup, the last time houston has beaten tennessee by more than 3 points was 2004. and look at houston's home schedule this year... the only team they've beaten by more than 3 was oakland.
tennessee comes into this game 2nd in the league in rushing, averaging 162 yards/game (they are easily first in yards per carry with 5.3). and houston is tied for the 3rd worst rushing defense, allowing 4.7 yards/carry.
